Title: Scarab Miniatures - KuK Command Group and HMG
Post by: andekmcc on December 15, 2008, 07:48:07 AM
Hi all,

I havent posted for a while here but I thought some people may be interested in seeing how some of the new Scarab Miniatures paint up, I put there on the WAB forum a while ago but I know not everyone here is a member there.  I'm pretty happy with the overall results.  There all painted as soldiers from the 40th IR 'Ritter von Pino'

Nice Job, they look great  :D :-* :D :-* :D :-*

I do like the Scarab figures.

The officer's hand on the figure holding the map doesn't look quite right though! It looks like a very uncomfortable way to hold a map  :?

Nicely done with them, and good choice on the K.u.K. Everyone should have some Austro-Hungarians!

Nice. Those Scarab Miniatures figures do have a lot of character.

Maybe he have an artificial hand?  ;)

Excellent mini's and paint job.  Like the terrain as well!

The general with the ribbons is inspired work!

Very nice details on these officers !

Could you tell, please, how they scale, compared to your Battle Honors for exemple ?
I'm more a 25mm fan myself and I was a bit suprised by the size of some of the DA Foudry recently...

Thanks,
Matt

thanks for the kind words its greatly appreciated  :),

I took a couple of pictures a while back (not the best of photos) but they do at least so them compared to other manufacturers. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the photos, andekmcc - very nice collection by the way - they are very helpful, and Scarab minis looks pretty sturdy, as Renegade  :'(

Nice paintjob, but I must say the Scarabs are to cartoony. Hands like frying pans and funny heads. The subject is great, though.

Received 3 packs yesterday, they look a lot better in the flesh I think that the photos on the web exagerate the large hands etc. and yes whilst I can't disagree with your comments and they certainly lack the technical finesse of Great War Miniatures they do have bags of character and some nice poses. I will see how they look painted up.
