Title: 54mm Boer War Long Tom - preview

A quick picture of the first casting and test assembly of our new 54mm Boer Long Tom 155mm Creusot gun. Shown here with a British Sgt Major for scale.

This will come with crew - thought people might be interested in it as a display piece - not sure that many people do the Boer War in 54mm (though it is on my list as a skirmish period...)

That looks really good, Mike. I game in 54mm Colonials, though only with Sikhs and Abyssinians so far. Do you plan to make Boers? I know Dorset makes some, Irregular probably does as well, but more variety in metal is always a good thing.

That is a splendid Sergeant Major. Is he a Black Hat figure?

It's very nice to see some 54mm news on LAF, so thanks for sharing!

Daryl,

I also run Imperial Miniatures:

www.imperialminiatures.co.uk

and own the old All the Queen's Men colonial and British in India ranges.  This includes a fair amount of Boer War plus Sudan, etc.

There are a number of Boers in the range.  I am still slowly going through the range and photographing sets that I can get access to, remaking moulds and painting other sets to photograph.

All the AQM figures are now available as castings as well as in the original painted sets.

thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the response. I've just looked over the catalogue and found many, many tempting things. I see the Sgt. Major "barking orders" is in the 'Goodbye Dolly Gray' pack; sorry if I missed it, but what is the price for that pack unpainted?

I've bookmarked the Imperial website and will look forward to seeing your future releases.

Hi Daryl

It is £16.00 for the unpainted castings :

Hmmm, so much for my site navigating skills! Thank you, Mike, and sorry for the trouble. The good news is, I'll start working on an order...
