-
Beautiful heraldry! Superb brushwork! :o :-*
-
Indeed, very nice work!
-
Super :o :-*
Don't know how I missed this first time round. The royal coat of arms is a triumph.
In fact absolutely brilliant work on the heraldry across the board. Kudos 8)
(I'm assuming it's all freehand right? You can't possibly get transfers that small?)
Either way - love 'em.
-
stunning indeed!!!
-
Thank you! Yes, it is all hands ...

Some very nice chappies there!

What excellent brushwork - I am very impressed by this and your earlier photos! :o
And we have had a lot of fun with Crown of Paper/Coat of Steel. It is different from other systems we have played, but it gives a great feel for the period and has produced some nerve-wracking games hinging on a few critical decisions.
-
Thank you. Yes, the system is very much like its atmosphere.(Y) We have already played the first campaign, it remains decisive battle.
-
Holy Cow!!! That is some excellent brushwork on both Pembroke and Buckingham. Whilst I will never be able to paint so cleanly (and so small) you provide some marvellous inspiration for the rest of us mere mortals.
I endorse your choice of wargames rules. The COP/COS system from The Perfect Captain gives an amazing WotR game experience. It also provides detailed heraldry and background on each character.
-
Superb work, if only I could come close to such painting I would be a happy man!! ;D Really lovely painting.
-
Very nice! :)
The heraldry is ridiculously good - makes my head hurt just thinking about how it was achieved. o_o
-
just stunning
-
Jolly Nice brushwork!
-
Lovely. You can never have too many Buckinghams.
-
Thanks to all! The second retinue Tomas Courtene 14 Earl of Devon:

Tremendous and a great inspiration to us all.
-
Wonderful work. What size bases are you using?
-
6 cm x 4 cm, but will likely move to the standard 4 cm x 4 cm
-
How do you paint such tiny Stafford knots badges on the archers ???

Lovely stuff.

Nice heraldry on Hungerford. He is my favourite Lancastrian leader and I try to get him onto the table whenever I can.

stunning

Gorgeous. Did you paint the torso before attaching the arms?
-
That is some of the most amazing heraldry I have seen on a 28mm figure.
-
That is some of the most amazing heraldry I have seen on a 28mm figure.
+1, it looks so realistic. I had the feeling that it is real cloth you painted on. Top!
-
Thank you! Painted figure already collected.
-
That could be the best freehand heraldry I have seen on a 28mm figure! I would say the armour and the brass on the sword needs some ink wash to make the figure really come to life. But a great job
-
Brilliant Dez. Recognised him as Audley straightaway :)

Thank you so much!

Have they got some Yorkist opponents?

Wow :-*
Well done. Your heraldry is extraordinarily good and sets the figures off beautifully. Well done Dez 8)
-
Wonderful work on the heraldry! :o
Simon
-
Blimey.
-
Wow, those have got to be your best yet! The Duke of York in particular has a really clean, neat paintjob - did you intentionally put more time into him due to his high ranking?
The second from left - is that a converted Steel Fist miniature, the one that originally has a raised fist, replacing the left arm with a plastic Perry arm? It works really well, I've got him waiting to be painted, I think I'm going to try the same conversion!!!!
-
Thanks friends! Yes, the Duke of York, I painted a little longer, all the same party leader! In general, I painted them for 2 days. Yes, second from left - is a Steel Fist miniature, but it's the hand of his home. ;) I "unscrewed" his hand and stuck it in a different position.
-
Absolutely wonderful painting. :-* :-* :-*

Awesome heraldry. I've always struggled to achieve this and you have nailed it perfectly. Very impressed.
-
This whole thing is gorgeous and inspirational.
What is your experience with durability of the Perry plastics? I have a growing collection but they've not been in more than a couple of games.
-
Mine have quite a number of outings now, without any major problems.
-
Break. There is a problem. :(
-
Excellent work on the heraldry. The Arundel knot, in particular, is extremely well done (for any scale ! let alone on a 28mm figure).

Like others I've just found this thread, Dez your heraldry is so good it has scared me, possibly scarred me!!
I have never seen this level of detail on a 28mm figure. You have my upmost respect sir! :o :o

The WotRs figures are very inspiring, glad this has risen again to see these in all their glory, thank you!
-
The heraldry is outstanding! Better than any decal around! Do you have any hints and tips?
-
Great group of Irish.
