Well, there are never too many sci-fi miniatures, really!?
Let's start with some agressive apes of strict nationalistic behavior. Well, in 2008 they were ordinary AT-43 Karmans, given to me by a friend, but hard times change everybody and not in the best possible way ;)

Nice conversions and paintjobs! 8)
They're a bit like the 'real' orks (in space), aren't they? You should try and find matching clear plastic domes to fit on their suits' rings.
keep them coming! :D
-
That's quite an eye catching paint job!
-
Thanks! More will follow - as we know, universe is a large place :D
Quarrelsome imperial preacher Father O'Donovan walks in dark places without purpose:

Cool conversions! 8) 8) 8)
I was looking at doing something similar with my spare GW Bret monk myself! I'm now convinced it can work :) ta!
Cheers
Matt

Bretons are perfect subject for sci-fi (or, better, sci-fantasy) conversions! They have their own construction difficulties, but usually it is not much of a problem.
-
Cool conversions, and I really like that painting style of yours...It gives it a very cool animated feel.
-
Glad to hear that ))
So, another former bretonian, now lesser tech-brother Gracian Reparatus. Broken vacuum-cleaners and gas ovens are barely a threat to this guy!

Absolutely gorgeous layering.
Is the last guy a Ramshackle Games miniature?

Is the last guy a Ramshackle Games miniature?
Thank you!
No, he was a mere Games Workshop peasant with a Techmarine axe, who accidentaly fell into a pit full of wild guitar strings :D

All his friends and relatives are extinct... his bad mood is unsurprising.

They all look great!!

All these are just superb! Clever conversions, and your painting style is really distinctive and eye-catching.

What he said. The Squat is really great, that bluish green with red fuel tanks is perfect.
-
Interesting painting style, I rather like that space dwarf :-*

Приве́т!

If they're as large as I recall, small coin dispensed toy capsules should work. If you can still find them. ;)

If the rumors of no place for them in Age-of, then that's a comforting thought. lol

Oh, HELL yes! Love the stuntie as well! I've still got my small army...
He's not GW, right? Naggin' familiarity, but not placing same. From whence?
Doug
-
Thank you, gentlemen!
This dwarf initially was a handgunner-officer from the "Battle of the Skull Pass". Removed some parts, added some parts. I converted this miniature long ago, and recently found it abandoned in a bits-box ))

When Imperial Inquisition asks for assistance, who is a guy to say "no"??? 8)

Lovely stuff! I really like your painting style. Is there any chance of getting a photo or two of minis mid-game or something? I'd love to see how the painting style looks in its natural habitat!
-
Wow nice work !
Really like the painting style, gives the minis a dynamic vibrant feel !
-
Thank you! I'll try to make some in-game photos, if the lighting allows that ::)
So, next in line - notorious pirate/rogue Sc'Oundriel. Rumors tell he sold his soul to some unspeakable chtonian deities, but others describe it as a dirty trick - this guy never had any soul at all.

Thanks :)
Oh, whole load of different spare parts! He has a torso of Perry' zouave standard bearer, head, shoulders and sabre of a Cold One Knight, some fragments of imperial knight's banner, space marine's pistol. And a hand of Wargames Factory' american colonial militiaman.
-
:o :-*
Wonderful thread. These guys look like they mean business. The painting and converting is superb. More please.
-
Great thread, really like the gritty paint jobs.
-
Indeed. The style of painting is realy special. How about a small tutorial. If you don't mind me saying umpire?-)

That's awesome! I really admire the ability to take very different bits and integrate them into a coherent miniature.
-
Really impressive! I miss this tread so far: I echo other comments about your panting style, I love it, it's very impressionistic! Keep on sharing!
-
Thank you all! :) I'm really glad to read your comments!
Speaking about tutorial... in fact, never done any kind of tutorial before, but I think, it could be interesting experience!) So I'll keep this in mind.

Very nice, as are the previous figures.
What are they?
-
Like the rogue trader ,is he a kit bash as well?
-
Many thanks))
Girls are a hybrid of Mantic enforcers and Dreamforge space-nazis or what are they supposed to be...
Yes, rogue trader arrived from the depths of my bitz-box. He has some parts from GW bretons, space-marine scout, old empire captain, some parts from 1/72 german tank and a Fireforge templar's cloak.

First pack of Escher ladies for my Necromunda gang "Bacchus Brides"

-
Wow :o
-
Very nice. The feathers and antlers, together with your painting style, really make them look different to the 'standard' Escher figures you see.
-
They look great :)
-
Thank you!!
It's always a challenge for me to make models different in style and to give 'em some distinctive look.
-
Great work, especially the Escher. Great paint jobs, made all the better by the work you've put in to their themed bases :-* :-* :-*
-
Beautiful minis, and I love the lighting effects! I really wasn't a fan of the new escher minis, but you've somehow made these look characterful, interesting and thematic. Great swaps and additions!
-
Beauties.. I envy your skill with them.. :-*
I struggle with mine first done as color tester.. Something doesn't work all the time.. ;V
-
Many thanks to all!
It seems to me, that finding the right color scheme is half and a half of all painting business, in necromunda especially.
-
like your conversions and painting style

-
Creative work.
The figures in the photographs are (dare I say) a little underexposed in a photographic sense.
They could do with being one figure per photograph.
-
There's something about your painting style on the Escher girls (in particular on the autogun girls) that makes me think of Ian Gibson's work on Halo Jones - wonderful stuff!
-
Great looking gang. And trophy. lol
-
Thanks, gentlemen!
Hmm, maybe it is really worth of taking some individual photos of my girls.
Actually, never heard of Halo Jones - need to check it immediately )))
-
I freakin love your technique!
-
The Ballad of Halo Jones is my favorite 2000AD story ever - Alan Moore's brilliant writing, and Ian Gibson's stunning art (which, while it's admittedly not for everyone, was absolutely perfect for Moore's story) combined to make something truly unforgettable and unique. Well worth losing yourself in for a few hours!

As far as Warhammer 40K comes back to my wargaming life (under certain circumstances) I painted some 3d converted and printed models as a strictly-not-a-radical Inquisitor and her henchmen.

WOW sir :o!
I just stumbled upon this thread, and although I kind of "avoid" the whole 40K thing, you have made some astonishing clever work and absolutely wonderful paint jobs of these miniatures, a joy to behold :).
The kitbashing and the very unique conversions really "pops" and make each of the models a very memorable character on the table. Very creative indeed. As others have already said, your painting style makes the miniatures quite dynamic.
All in all, a job very well done!
Thanks for sharing.
-
Lots of character, brilliant little details. Great work!
-
Wow, never seen blue glowey stuff inside a person before. .. I'd be keeping away from that one, but a great party trick in dark alleys when you forget a Torch.
Amazing painting and conversions!
-
Those are outstanding figures: great job on them.
-
Awesome band. love the inquisitor.
-
Those are very cool. That model splitting into two is wild... :o

I tried to avoid Warhammer since I last played it in 2011, but it's very hard to keep distance, as my local community is small and plays mostly 40k.

This thread is right up my alley- thanks for sharing such gorgeous work with us all. :-*
Is the demon one of the conversions, or can I find it online?

Found this 3d-model on Thingiverse and added some details like manacles and purity seal in editor.

Wonderful conversions and painting.

How tall is that “armsmaster”? And who sells it? Thanks

That's a 3d-model from Thingiverse or Cults about 2cm tall.
