Title: Star Wars now on general release with added AAR

Rumours of the Empire's expansion continue but non more frightening than the new Super Stardestroyer, an eight kilometre long killing machine...

Fortunately for the galaxy, some Jedi were overlooked when the Empire were hunting them down. One such Jedi going by the name of Bona Gon Flatte, trying to do his bit for the galaxy, had stumbled across a set of plans for the super stardestroyers waste disposal system fortuitously left in a garbage canister...

He has contacted the emerging Rebel Alliance and needs to get the plans to their headquarters as quickly as possible but he has to get off planet with his trusty droid and companion 2mE-2U.

With the help of a small unit of Rebel soldiers he has to try and get to a small landing pad before the Imperial Stormtroopers can stop him...

General set up of the terrain. The rebels are starting top right and the Imperials are in two groups on the bottom left.

The Stormtroopers try to gain the high ground whilst the rebels sneak around the buildings at ground level.

A rebel pilot tries to sneak around the back but is seen by the troopers on a roof...

The main rebel force goes round the long way in a bid to get as much cover as possible but a firefight starts and there are casualties...

In order to buy some time,Bona Gon Flatte vaults on the roof and tries to take out the Imperials.

He succeeds in killing one trooper and force pushing the officer and the remaining trooper off the building leaving the way clear for the main rebel force.

After a brief shoot out with the other stormtrooper unit the rebels manage to get into the landing pad and on to the shuttle but not without a final showdown.

No, seriously. I'm impressed. The whole scenery ( even that i've already seen it) in the board looks fantastic ( the alleys, the garbage....) and the scenario looks funny. two droids in order to find out which one is carrying the data?

Ah, it's just the same plot as the first one but with better special effects!  ;)  lol

Lovely looking game gents, perfect, and very cinematic. Everything Star Wars should be.  :D

This'll be a must see at BLAM.

Rules were a trimmed down version of Grunts but we're still playing with the Force rules. We'll introduce ships and vehicles at some point soon  :D

Very nice looking game indeed. The texture of the buildings has come out very well, the 'deleted scenes' shot of the archway looks spot on.

Really cool photos, nice blaster effects!  Love your minis and terrain, especially the kit-bashed ships.  I recognize the Imperial Assault figures, are the rest WotC repaints?  Especially interested in the Padawan mini, which is very dynamic.

The figures are all bendy plastic WotC repaints except the Jedi Padawan who is a metal WotC figure.

The digital remastering is ace too. And here I thought I was mad, with my hand-outs and specialized scatter terrain... lol

You (lot) certainly know how to set a standard to aspire to! But the day approaches, when my force will be unleashed too...  ;D

I heard that two members of the cast had been lured away to star in a remake of Twins......

Not true. Rumours of James taking on the Danny DeVito role are all false. :)

All cast and crew for the forthcoming "Star Wars. A most Daring Plan" sequel have all signed confidentiality agreements. The production remains tightly under wraps. We can confirm all the principle actors have been signed for the sequel. :D

Well, you know what the Hollywood rumour mill is like...

The other hot gossip was that the two unnamed stars, had run off and eloped together after falling in love on set.

Of course, out of their 'hairy' costumes, nobody knows what they really look like yet, but I am sure all will be revealed soon enough....

That is also untrue. As is the persisitent rumour that after director JJ Abrams announced he would return for the sequel the producers signed up a relative newcomer to direct the film called JJ Binks... ;)
