Title: Is Alpha Forge still in business?
Post by: Eisenfaust on December 27, 2008, 08:15:42 PM
I remember reading about some changes in leadership and/or responsibility, and the forum is currently down.

I was wondering if anybody knew if ordering through the Alpha Forge website's store still worked?

Thanks,
Christopher

No, I know the Website is still up. What I'm asking is, if I order from the store, will it be fulfilled? I don't relish sending money into the void. Does anyone have any recent experience with them, say the last three months or so?

Yeah, the fellow running the site has just had a problem with the forums board.  The rest is up and operational.

It's frustrating for me, as I spend alot of time on those boards....but fear not! Jason is the guy that runs the store and is usually very quick on response times.

Ayup, an e-mail seems a good way to start!

I don't think any offence was meant, Eisenfaust was probably worried that he hadn't been clear enough in his post. ;)

twrchtrwyth is exactly right, and thank you for intuiting the situation.

I didn't mean any offense, I just figured my original query had been too vague. It's easy to forget that these posts lack all the usual cues of vocal inflection and pacing to indicate meaning.

I'm sorry, Yorkshire_man, your input was appreciated and your presence on the forum greatly desired. My fault entirely, sorry it came across as brusque. I really must work on my wording.

No worries :)

I have been meaning to order some figures myself,to be honest the aliens remind me of the "Protoss" from the game "starcraft".Or say a very good alien invasion race, but i do like their cyborgs, zombies, wardroids.

I will order a few, (sighs more work)

Cheers tony :)

They've got the forums back up and running now.

We could use folks over there!

Sorry i spoke!! :(

Never head to Frother's with skin as thin as yours mate, you'll get eaten alive!   :D

Anyway the first thing that anyone should do if they want to check that a website ordering section is still running is email the site in the first place/seek feedback from others. So infact Eisenfaust was just being lazy!  ;) Beisides which other sellers would also carry stocks if the main site had gone down.

Cheers

The Commander

@Commander Vyper: I wasn't being lazy, I was being efficient! :P If there's no one at the other end of an e-mail, how long do you wait for a reply before you decide no one's there, especially during the holidays -- 1 week, maybe 2? Whereas I could come here and probably have an answer within hours.

And the only other place I knew of that was stocking Alpha Forge in the U.S. was Rattlehead, and they stopped carrying it about a year ago, I believe. :'(
