I finally couldn't manage to keep out of 20mm anymore so here goes:

As you can see I've tried to ruff it up a bit.. the idea is somewhere between russian invasion, danish civil war and nuclear apocalypse like in the Threads documentary (which is on google video - must see!)

Can't complain about that one mate, looks really nice sofar.....only needs some paint now, and a battlereport   >:D

Which building is it btw? I have a use for one like that. (And just 1 thing I would have done differently is the base..... I make them square so they fit better in a street or field. But I'm not saying round isn't ok  ;) )

Hmmm... you're right about the base. It won't fit neatly in city-like terrain.

However - I'm contemplating a lot of rural/heavily damaged stuff.. and I don't even know if there'll be that much street. I think it'll be more like a drive way going up to this house from a street.

At first I wasn't going to give it a base at all... but I wan't to add some rubble, burnt cars and people to it, so it has to be there.

I have no idea where the house is from unfortunately. It's been in the attic since my model train days as a kid.

Something like this?

lol

Seriously, a disturbingly nice conversion. Suitably painted, you could also use it for WW2.

Hehe there might be some savages - helmets and axes wouldn't be that far out. But remember - vikings didn't have horns on their helmets... sadly!

I'm a bit in doubt about the paint-side of things. I wan't it to look battered and unkept. I'm thinking that the wall will be offwhite (with lots of smothering on them) and perhaps some algae. The roof should be grey/black I think, with a lot of green washes to simulate algae.

The grounds around the house should be unkept and covered with debris, grass tuffs, bones and a car wreck or similar.

I'm just starting 20mm sci-fi but I can't wait to get going! I have quite a lot of 20mm/1:72 Vietnam War already.

My big hope is to land a italeri B52-g and crashland it and turn it into a bar.

Here's the rest of the project so far - I think I'll stop buying more until I've made these.

Plan is to base all of the houses on small bases with a little gardening and perhaps hedges grown out of control on them too.

Any input on what could be cool to add is really welcome. I'm thinking about crashing an F-16 into one of the gardens. Another house should probably have some kind of look out post on top built out of balsa wood. Some sandbags could be a nice addition to one too.

Any other ideas?!?!
