OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Alex, this is a blast, if there ever was one. This is so rich in every aspect - I´m deeply impressed! :o
-
Wow :o :-*
And that applies to both
-
The baby with a ruff :o :o :-* lol
-
Oh and I thought some of the other pairings this round were difficult to choose. But both of these are as near perfect as anything that as ever been displayed here.
-
Clash of the Titans. But who to vote for.... lol
-
No man should be confronted by a choice like this before breakfast on a Sunday.
Both rather wonderful!
-
Bloody hell! I looked at the first photo and thought 'that's getting my vote' then I saw the second photo and now I'm so torn. I love those superb Lanisters and the Galaxy Council is magnificent. I can't pick a winner out of those two!
-
Amazing Alex :-*
Not only superb quality, but astonishing quantity AND purple slime! How can I compete with that? :)
Beautiful. And I'm glad to see you really going for it this time - good!
-
Both fantastic, but so much eye candy in the galaxy council.
-
Like jewels in necklaces, both.
-
Extremely difficult this one! Outstanding work of the both of you!
-
Wow! Professor, that's an amazing scene. I would never have thought so many manufacturers would work so well together!
Captain, Jamie and Tyrion look brill!
-
This is going to keep me awake thinking did I vote for the right one
Two absolutely fabulous entries- so difficult to choose
This is why I love the LPL ;D
-
Wow
And that applies to both
Ditto!!
& ought we not have a button to reflect just that situation?
Please!!
Splendid dilemma!!
Thank you both for making it eversodamndifficult!!
For my feeble brain & weak eye, all 4 of 'em, are gettin' a workout today!!
Hear Me Roar's figures, setting, characters, & execution seem flawless...
The Galay Council's concept, imagery, texture & presentation seem unbeatable...
I am strained...

Both are stunning! Alex, the variety of colors and shades is masterful. Cap'n, I love the bright colors and and staging!
What a choice!

Two beautiful and rich entries; it's the third time I'm looking here within minutes ...
Alex, your painting gets still better from entry to entry, such cool colour combinations; you know we need a manufacturer list soon. :)
-
Two great entries.
Richard, is the chap with the beard supposed to be a specific character? I can see your Tyrio, Jaime and Kevan, and the fourth looks too distinctive to be just a soldier.
I've been admiring that ruin from your last entry actually, and after doing a bit of research found that it's sold pre-painted! Quite pricey, but actually looking at how these figures scale against it I'm guessing it's really quite big... It's on my shopping list!
-
Very nice Jaime there Captain!
-
Wow, both are amazing, from paint to display but the variety of models from different manufacturers working perfectly together really makes it something different
any chance we could get you to ID all those figures Alex?, I only recognize a few of them....
fantastic job to both of you!
-
Okay, Prof, list the members of the council...I recognize about half...
And this, people, is why I keep arguing for a 'BOTH' button.
-
Wow, this is a tough one again. Both really, really acing their project.
-
Your entries are always impressive Richard but as Benbow already found out Alex has gone ballistic this year!!
-
A very tough call - both wonderful.
-

Second both.
Superb.
-
Richard, I'm totally impressed by your entry. Your ability to paint red so smoothly was always an object of mistery for me. And the composition on the photo, the dynamics of the figures and the scene is just perfect. Bravo! It is definitely one of your masterpieces!
you know we need a manufacturer list soon. :)

Ok, here the list:
The eggs - DO OR DICE 2008 special miniature
first row (from the bottom) - Black Scorpion (some Alien, meanwhile OOP), Colony 87 travelling Trader, GW Skullz Adeptus Mechanicus Servitor, GW Imperial Advisor (Master of Ordinance), Ollies Armies Psychic Scrunt, Alpha Forge Hydrissian Noble
second row - Reaper Pactmaster of Katapesh, Colony 87 female Noble, Reaper Andromedan Vizier, Colony 87 Noble
third row - Citadel Genestealer Magus , GW Imperial Astropath, Colony 87 emmissary of the alien Amphiran race, GW another Astropath
fourth row - GW Inquisitor Acolyte, GW Witchhunter Crusader
-
Fantastic. Still an incredible pair of entries.
-
The two Lannister brothers are stunning!!!!!!!
-
I knew the eggs...How did you get these ? You have not been to the Do or Dice my friend....
Illegal trading with Vikotnik ?
Anyway...there are only 100 Eggs done in cowork with pardulon and vikotnik.
Probably the Romanov Egg in Nerdville ;)
Great work of you both. Good luck...and now I will vote.

As far as I remember, I've got them from you, my friend ;)
-
well, then keep them forever in your man cave ;)
-
Fantastic! Love the 40k scene and the Lannisters are very nice too.
-
well, then keep them forever in your man cave ;)
I certainly will do so :)

Charlie_, I did wonder about casting him as Tywin, but he doesn't really quite fit my image of him. He was just a nice figure that I thought would work well in the group... I shall have to find a long lost Lannister uncle :)
The irony is, he was one of a number of Blue Moon medieval figures that the Prof kindly donated to me last year. Now he's getting a puffing from that very same Prof ;) Ah, it must be karma...
The buildings are great. I bought them several months ago when the pound was riding strangely high against the euro, so got (what I thought) was a very good deal... Of course, the pound has slipped back a fair bit since... Thus do global economics impact on our ability to pursue our hobby as we might desire... :)
-
I shall have to find a long lost Lannister uncle :)
Well he kind of exists! Gerion Lannister, Tywin's youngest brother, favourite uncle of both Tyrion and Jaime. Went on a quest looking for his family's ancestral sword Brightroar, and never returned.

I think you've got uncle Gerion there!
-
Then that is who he shall henceforth be :)
Valar dohaeris.
-
Hello,
Two superb entries !!! :-* :-*...
Nikko
-
Both are so beautiful. As others have said, a "Both" choice would so nice in cases like this.
-
Have to join the chorus and say those are two superb entries. I'm not sure it's appropriate to deploy the word 'sublime', but I'm thinking those are in the neighborhood.
-
Wow Alex, that is some of the most inspirational painting and photography I have seen on here in a long time!
The Lannisters are also very well done. Especially Tyrion.
-
Two top quality entries.
Almost impossible to choose, both are sooooo good.
:-* :-*
As far as I remember, I've got them from you, my friend ;)
lol lol
-
So... I can't vote. I mean, I can, but how do I choose?!
-
WOW Prof they are stunning and what great mix!
