As per caption - which company makes the nicest plastic ancient Greeks, please?

Victrix, in my opinion. They have much more dynamism - Warlord's (ex Immortal's) hoplites are good for having a representation of a phalanx, nothing else.

Victrix's armoured hoplites can be marching and/or fighting. On the other hand, if you buy the Victrix unarmoured hoplites, they don't rank much well beyond 2 ranks, but can be used as ipikhratean hoplites.

Hope this helps! ;)

The Warlord (ex Immortal) hoplites are slimmer and more proportionate figures than the Victrix ones and a bit more historically accurate. That said, I find the Victrix figures easier to paint as they have nice sharp detail which is  deeper than the quite fine details on the Warlord hoplites.

Middle unit are Warlord figures.

I second Victrix. Really full of character and great value for money.
The Immortal Greeks are nice as well but seem a little smaller and less 'chunky' than most other 28s.

Cheers

OK, thanks - as it happens, I have been offered a couple of Warlord boxes NIB second hand, so I may start with those.

I can then always go Victrix if I need more  lol
