I ran two events this past weekend at the reconstructed War of 1812 Fort Meigs in Perrysburg, OH. I was doing my usual showcasing of my Song of Drums and Tomahawks rules. The way I run my events, it is 3 (this time, sometimes 4) scenarios running simultaneously, side by side. The encounters are meant to be occurring in close proximity and roughly at the same time. Reinforcements can be shuttled between battlefields -- which had a major effect in the Saturday morning running of my game.

I filled up all six slots both Friday night and Saturday night. Check out my website for more than a dozen photos and a recap of the hard-fought and gripping action. Check out my Lead Legionaries entry here:

I sold a number of copies of the rules, and all the players had a great time. Success!

Your games are always a feast for the eyes, Mike.

I made it up to Ft. Meigs for two of the gaming days, years ago when I lived in Columbus. I remember them fondly. Probably the most relaxed, fun filled events I've been to.

Thanks, everyone! Thanks for the purchase, Don Voss. Kugelfang...I'm from Columbus. Have we met? I know a few gamers named Jeff... lol

Going to work on some more fencing and some more log cabins to add more eye candy to the tabletops.

Your use of simultaneous inter-related scenarios is a cool idea, Mike. Nice work!

Bests,
Chris

Yeah, we've met, Mike. We never quite ran in the same gaming circles but I remember you participating in a DBA campaign I ran at the Soldiery in Columbus when it was in its first, much smaller High Street location. That was when DBA first came out so that's how long it's been! The campaign only had a couple of turns before I had to cancel it due to some health issues I was having at the time so you may not remember it. I think you had also come into the Buckeye Soldier Shop on the south side of town when I was involved with that operation.

I left Columbus in 2011 and have since lived in Salem, MA and now in Silver Spring, MD. You really don't appreciate how much historical gaming there is in Columbus until you leave!
