Lovely work Silent Invader.
-
Great work :-).
-
Aw, that's great! :-*
-
Brilliant!!! You should be casting and selling this! I'd love to have one of those!
-
I suppose with a name like yours “Silent Invader” you should be building a glider. lol
Great work. The shape look just right, Love the wings.
Looking forward to the finished model.

I've been looking for a Horsa Glider for a while...you should cast that one up and sell it! ;)
-
A brilliant idea - probably the best way to do this in 1/56th. Excellent!
-
Looking great. I wish I had the patience and skill to do something like this. I'd love a Horsa for my airborne brits. The Grand Manner Horsa is erm...well, lets just say it's 'interesting' to put together :-X

Great Scratch build and the detailed "how to" is greatly apreciated It's always helpful to see how others aproach and solve problems on their builds!!
-
Looking better and better. Great centre point for a game.
Undercarriage looks great.
-
Hey, I missed the new pictures. Looking great!! The interest is definitely there. Should you be also able to beat the Grand Manner price... bob's your uncle as my gf tends to say. :D

Superb work! That base is particularly effective, not taking too much room yet being a stable support. The tree stump is a great idea, but may I suggest adding a suitably startled rabbit for some comic effect? Just keep it small and hard to notice, so it doesn´t ridicule the whole piece, but if you take a closer look, you´d get a chuckle out of it...

fantastic work

Really looking good. :o

I want that one too!!! :D :-* Have you thought about casting these beauties any further?
-
Excellent :D
-
Awwww! Whadda cute widdle bunny! lol
Very nice! Looking forward to seeing it painted. Glad to have been helpful!
-
:) Very nice!
-
Oh, mull all the time, find the way, cause this beauty is amazing! And should you not manage to find a way to cast it, you have a really beautiful model there you should be very proud of! Looking forward to the next steps, whatever they may be.
-
Wow...that is fantastic...I really want one!!! o_o
-
That is superb :-* :D :-* :D :-* :D :-* :D
-
Awwww... that turned out rather nice. And I´ll even skip on the inevitable "Peter Rabbit doing HIS part" joke!
-
Beautiful, Silent Invader. That was well worth the wait! Is the circular marking a decal or handpainted?
That is exactly what I would need for my paras... so you jump back to this project as soon as possible! :)
-
Yep :o
The finished result is amazing.
-
That is just amazing! Strong work! :D
-
Thanks for all of the kind remarks. I'm keen to use the glider in a game but first need to finish my glider pilots and the platoon of airlanding infantry - still got quite a few conversions to do before they reach the painting stage so might be a couple of months off.
@Remington
The roundel is a decal and a painting. Free hand circles are a nightmare - for me anyways! Luckily enough I had a decal which was the right size though it broke up on application as it had to fit over the raised edge which runs laong the tail. Not a problem though as I just used what survived as a painting guide. So, the correct answer is, I painted over a damaged decal! ;)
Very nice, you doing the smashed wings and tail section too?
