Title: I sculpted a cyclops
Post by: beefcake on June 02, 2016, 10:18:52 AM
My latest sculpt after not sculpted for a loooooooooooooooong time. My son wanted a troll but I ended up doing a cyclops, he's quite the knuckle-dragger (purposeful as opposed to scale creep). I may try and cast this up myself and make a few in resin (or if I can find a supplier of pewter in NZ easily I may make a metal version that I can then do a bunch of conversions on to make a few varieties of this guy. I really need to work on fingers!
Pretty happy with the end result, I may bulk out his right arm as the bicep is a little small. That would then fill the gap between his torso and arm making it cast easier in resin.
I'm feeling more enthusiastic about sculpting again. I may need to get some new Greenstuff though as I think this one is past it's used by. Not all the yellow part was mixing well.
black tree skeleton for scale.

I like him.I bet he would work well with smaller scale miniatures too.How about doing seperate heads for him. That way your son can have a Giant too.

Thanks all. Alternate heads are probably a good idea when I cast him :)
