It's time to paint some characters, xenos, accessories and more for my Rogue Trader Games (I play pulp alley, then I need plot points and bystanders too).
Here my first rogue trader "plot point" a space princess painted with a barsoom look ;)
-
A wounded imperial guard will be a fine plot point for my rogue trader games ;)
I painted him with a classic old school imperial guard paint scheme (grey uniform).
-
Does it work well, Pulp Alley for RT? I believe you also do solo gaming with it don't you?
The IG looks like he's chilling out in the park. :D

Yes, I yet played several Pulp Alley Rogue Trader Games, and with real players (finally) and ejoyed them ;)
I've yet included some Battle Reports in my blog and in the forum too :D
-
The Space Monster "Sullivan" is done ;) It will be a nice bystander, plot point or more for my Pulp alley Rogue Trader games :) The miniature is an old plastic yeti from the Hero Quest Expansion "Frozen Horror".

He's crying out to have his unit badge painted yellow. ;)
Really like these and really like the idea of them being 'plot points' in games. I always planned on doing something similar with the wounded space marine models.

Is that a converted succubus from Heresy?

To be honest... he doesn't look wounded. He looks completely drunk! lol

The "Barsoom" Princess is a BloodMoon Miniature. I bought her some years ago and now finally painted ;)
-
I love the idea of painting up encounter figures for games like Pulp Alley and .45 Adventure. Plot Point style skirmish games would be perfect for that old school feel. It doesn't hurt that you don't have to paint up an entire army worth of figures just to play one game.
And of course, your painting is absolutely amazing. As always.
-
Thanks :D
I like Pulp Alley, this game give me the opportunity to use many of my long forgotten miniatures and bitz, here some cheap example of plot points:
Two simple and quick painted plastic guys: a wounded eldar that need some help (maybe he lost his jetbike?) and a dark eldar that is dead, or unconscious or he is just sleeping?
-
Very cool! THANKS for playing Pulp Alley. :D
-
Here my sunworm for my rogue trader games. It will be a nice peril ;)
I should paint two more sunworms too, this is my paint scheme prototype.
Do you think it could be nice for the sunworms?
-
Here my quick painted Rogue Trader Sunworms. They will be fine perils in my rogue trader games.
-
Love that Sully mini. Nice work all around.
-
Two civilians for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Two more civilians for my rogue trader games.
-
Sweet :-*
-
My rogue trader civilians need some buildings, then I'm planning some scratchbuilt houses for them, as space colony buildings.
Here the first I've done, I will paint it soon.
-
Here the painted space colony house and more rogue trader civilians for my games.
-
The civvies look great, but I most definitely love that building! :-*
-
More civilians:
-
Fantastic!
-
A group shot of the Rogue Trader civilians I painted. I should paint more civilians soon ;)
-
Lovely paint on a mixed bag of miniatures. They certainly have something... but it is something that is lost on me (sorry) . But you have done a nice job on them :)
-
Here another scratch built space colony house painted.
-
Another civilian for my Rogue Trader games.
This time I painted a xenos' lady of the night. :D
Initially I was thinking to paint this miniature as a dark eldar hooker (with blue skin as some of the old dark elves), but later I chosen a generic green alien girl ;)
She is green, but she is not an ork of course ;)
-
Nice work.
Your civilians would not look out of place in 2000AD comics like Strontium Dog :)
-
Gorgeous painting on the Alien of the Night. I love the not-ork green skin you chose. Very Star Trek/Classic Comic Book color for alien flesh.
Although that staff of hers is a bit intimidating. :o
-
They're some nice looking figures & buildings.

Yeah absolutely agree with this !!
Great work on the Xenos lady !
-
Yes, definitely great job on the sikn tones!
-
Two more scratch bult space colony houses I painted.
-
My scratch built painted space colony houses with some posters, street writings and more details.
-
The Rogue Trader Space Colony Brothel is done ;)
-
Looks great!
And probably will make the colony's population grow. :D
-
Another Scratch Built Building, the Sheriff Office, and a statue.
-
Here some workers that will be fine in my rogue trader games.
-
Some ferro beasts for my rogue trader games.
-
I copied the idea and paint scheme of the Cthellean Cudbear from the cheetor's sho3box blog.
Here my painted version. It will be a fine space monster for my rogue trader games :)
-
Here the catachan devil for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Here my two space monsters for my rogue trader games ;)
-
Some Spacelords Beastmen I painted for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Really nice models and great paint jobs.
-
Here my two space monsters for my rogue trader games ;)
Holy cow, I painted that little green dude a couple weeks ago and never made that connection. He's from a Reaper Bones fantasy kit called "Hordelings" with two other figures. You have a great eye for subsitutions, man.
-
Terrific collection you've got there!

She looks great! And kind of elfish, what range is she from?

Some Xenos scum for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Nice, especially like the bare-headed one. Who makes them?

Thanks, they are old kryomek Mutzachan (sculpted by Bob Olley), still available from MSD Games.

Space Stig!!
Great miniatures and painting. I love your buildings.

I'd never have guessed from the pictures on their site that they could paint up so lovely as yours!

Yes, their poor pictures (when they are available) don't incentives the buyer ;)
I suggest to give a look to the collecting miniatures gallery for have an idea of the nice miniatures available:

A vampire:
Even better match for the concept art in Iron Wind's sort-of-OOP Street Fighter Gothic range. You can probably still get them direct if you call and ask nicely, or you can resort to ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Street-Fight-Gothic-Cursed-Starter-Set-MINT-IWM-Vampire-/230577210435?hash=item35af790443:g:i2MAAOxyepRRruYb
(http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/i2MAAOxyepRRruYb/s-l500.jpg)
Think that seller's actually Lone Gunman Games, the guy who did Armies of Arcana 5th. Or at least the name looks familiar from somewhere.
-
Good spot on the Vampire. Knew I'd seen it before.
-
Time for more Hookers (they are never enough for the colonial scum :D ).
Trixie (the green Xenos) and the two new painted colleagues: Roxy (the human girl) and Lursa (the... klingon?).
Lursa is the body guard and bouncer of the brothel too.
-
Not much variety in that lot. A scifi brothel that only employs species that look like human females is going to be out of business right quick. Need some nonhumanoids, and some male-analog humanoid types, and definitely some sexbots, preferably ones with lots of swappable parts.
Or to put it another way, where's a Summer-form Plooran supposed to go to get laid in this town? :)

That's right ;)
But the brothel is in a human colonial outpost near Imperial space, with almost all human (maybe some mutants) customers and maybe some few humanoid Xenos customers too :D
We all know that the Imperium policy toward Xenos is only one: Extermination. >:D

Pish and tosh. Everyone knows that the Imperium run by hedonists who loves them a little bit of alien nookie. The Ordo Xenos spends half its time hunting for new sex toys, and the Emperor's been playing the ultimate edging game with Slaanesh for the last ten thousand years. :)
I wonder, has anyone done the James White Sector General thing only with a whorehouse instead of a hospital? Because that would be hilarious.
-
Thanks :)

Thanks for the link. I wasn't aware that there was a USA dealer for Kryomek stuff. Pretty good prices too!
Oh, and great paintjob!

A Mysterious biomechanical Xenos for my rogue trader games.
-
Cool :)
Em4?
-
Cool :)
Em4?
Yes, a nice miniature, the design is clearly ispired to the old manga character: Guyver ;)
-
A big Xenos for my Rogue Trader Games:
-
EM4 figure there? Surprisingly genestealer-ish structure to the legs on it, could easily be used as a hybrid conversion/hitbash base.

It's a Bob Olley's Kryomek Monoc alien from MSD Games.
-
Great thread, when funds are a bit better I'm going to purchase a lot of these models. Cheers. ;)
-
As many before me, I chose this Reaper Miniature that seem fine as a Rogue Trader.
Then I painted her with the paint scheme of Capitan Amelia from the Disney Cartoon "Planet of the Treasure" :)
-
Some Teenagers for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Two new scratchbuilt buildings I've done for my rogue trader games.
-
Love what you are doing... great stuff!
-
Thanks :)
Some Security Guards for my Rogue Trader Games.
-
Great colour scheme! 8)
-
The mercenary Abbadon is ready for war.
-
Here more scratchbuilt buildings I've done for my Rogue Trader Games.
A communications antenna, communication tower/airport tower and a governor/mayor palace.
-
Mighty fine work, those buildings have the genuine 'RT vibe'.
-
I really like your motley collection of civilians, and the bottle-buildings are lovely. Very run-down and scum-stained, I love it. More please!
-
All really great - especially love the green bloke (was the model called East Star John or something?). Mighty fine.
-
I only know that green merc guy as a "souther" trooper from GW's "Rogue Trooper" stuff (they did a nort, souther, the GIs, Venus, Major Magnam, the general and Morgen).
-
Ah yeah, I think you're right - I think East star John might be a powered armour model. Anyway, really ace!
