One of the games played at this month's meeting of the DWG was a little Saxon v Norman dust up using the Crusader rule set

Great pictures and report, thank you. Although I have heard of them, I know nothing of the rules; how about a basic run-down?

That's a mighty looking game. There's nothing quite like big bands of dark age warriors trying to chop each other up.

I concur with Melnibonean, great to see a large bunch of early medieval types mixing it up - plus the good guys won and sent the Normans off!
