As much as I like the Perries stuff, and can't knock their output, they seem some rough bothered sculpts.  :?

Shouldn't horse artillery be wearing boots?

The RHA crew look to be closely modelled after E/B Battery at Maiwand, where they are generally believed to have worn blue puttees, as well as the short, four-button artillery frock.

yes, I agree their work seems to be getting rougher and cruder as you say. These in my opinion are not here finest hour.

they are not bad at all...unfortunatly, being on a low budget , i'll use as proxy for Second Afghan War..the classic Boer War Artillery from Foundry
but what puzzle me a lot is the title of the still unknow range.."Queen Victoria Little Wars"..could we expect maybe something new like Hussars in Afghanistan, NWF Militias (Kyber Rifles); dismounted guides..; NWF Personalities; casualties/wounded Indian Inf. and above all decent sapper & miners or pionneer..maybe with mule with thei load of tools

The range was supposed to be a non-specific range where the Perrys would do various minis  (depending on what suited their fancy) that filled in 'gaps' where no existing stuff was, but indeed this stuff looks even more 'raw' than there usual fare, i've noticed that in the pat while, the awful welrod bike wheels spring to mind or a few reviews i've seen where the casting quality was awful.

It's confusing as I would have thought logically, sculpting a range less for commercial and more for pleasure would result in them taking more time and higher quality.
