Very nice - would you believe I went for red too with one of my units?  :D Nowhere near as good as your though.

You need a battered brush, first drybrush metal over black, then with the tip of the brush apply three layers of irregular splashes: reddish brown, bordeaux and orange. Be sure that the brush is dry at all times. A quick method to paint lots of rusty models!
