Title: O'Leary's Frostgrave Figures
Post by: OLeary on August 22, 2016, 09:39:24 AM
I hope you guys don't mind if I run a thread here for a while for some of the figures I'm painting for Frostgrave. For the foreseeable future everything I'm going to be working on is for Frostgrave.

This group is from Red Box Games, all figures sculpted by Tre Manor

Thank you for looking.

Good stuff, lovely painting on these! Nice colors, sharp highlights and contrasts. Only nitpick is the bow...the top half seems to be bent a little?

Fantastic. I got some myself but found that the details are so fine you need to be a great painter (which I am not). Glad to see someone getting such nice results

Thank you so much. I'm a pretty slow painter so it won't be terribly often.

Thank you for the compliment!  No the bow isn't bent. It may look that way because the figure is so far in the back in the photograph.

Actually I find these easier to paint because the detail is so crisp.  Also they are pretty "stripped down" figures-not a lot of extra packs, straps, filigree etc.  I can paint these twice as fast as a Reaper figure.  If you're interested in having me paint up a few of the ones you have at no charge, send me a DM.

Wow - they're cracking!

Thank you!

Amazing work!!

Thank you so much!

Why does the female wizard have a double base?

Frostgrave looks much warmer & far more attractive with the O'Leary touch. Although the Woodsy Looking Guy is my favorite, they are all BEAUTIFULLY panited & based in your own unique style. VERY WELL DONE!

Great colour choices, especially on the female character.  :-*
