stunning work there Mr Phipps. Really really nice. I love those front guards.

Oh, those damn front guard! By far the trickiest bit of the whole thing.  ;D

But I am happy with how they turned out. THANKS!  :D

Wow!  Looks great.  Very impressive.

Do you scan in a subject, and the software puts together the 3D piece, or do you have to actually input the entire item in a 3D database?

Would love to see it with wooden high sides.Interested to see what variants' you manage on the chassis print. At least a coupé (both hard and soft top) and a sedan?

No scanning. Designed from scratch using Solidworks.

Ayup, I started the coupe a couple days ago, and the sedan will probably come after that. And as you say, there are other variants that can be done relatively easy.

I may print off a dozen or so of each, if anyone is interested in getting one.

... Seeing something as nice as this from what I assume is another 'experienced novice' like myself keeps the home fires burning on making more 3d stuff in the near future.

THANKS for the encouragement. I only started 3d printing a couple years ago so I definitely still feel like a novice. There's so much to figure out. But I am hoping to finally get my own 3d printer early next year.  ;D

Wonderful work!

3D printers ares getting better day by day. I watch the prices of these printers droppoing but wonder what sort of entry level you need to go in at to get 'good quality' results...may be scratch building for a while longer  :)...

Another photo of my new Pulp Alley vehicles project. I spent some extra time adjusting the scale to make sure they looked right with my favorite lines of pulp miniatures.

Note, I cut a slot on the sides so a character can ride on the running boards. I have codenamed this brilliant innovation the "Two-Fisted Peril Gash" in honor of my third wife......

Here's a little something I designed for Pulp Alley over the weekend and printed today. I'm thinking we're going to need a lot more of these!!! Get your motor running........

What about a Tin Lizzie? I've hoped for one of those in proper 1/56 forever!

I think there could be a Model T somewhere down the road, but there are a few more on the list ahead of it.  ;)

Dave, I may be not sure, but I think you can import a vehicle technical blueprint in jpeg format to Solidworks and work from there.  ;)

Great job as usual, BTW!  :-*
