Title: A-Team
Post by: Jase on January 30, 2007, 06:25:45 PM
Hi!

Dutch television is doing a rerun of all the old A-Team episodes at the moment and at the Foundry website I found some miniatures to represent them, but unaccustomed as I am to all the different rulessets out there, which would be best suited to replay such missions in a suitable cinematic style.

Can anyone help me?

Cheers

Jase

PS Hehehehe, that is indeed one very long sentence :P

IŽm gonna get branded, tarred and feathered for it, but maybe Legends of the Old West would be nice - youŽd only have to write up rules for automatic weapons and vehicles (the latter, IMHO, mainly require rules for blowing up...).

LOTOW is very quick and cinematic, IMHO. Unless you put some work into writing up a points system, however, youŽll have to do some careful balancing for scenarios.

I pity da fool!

I don't have lots of experience with gaming systems and rules, but the ALL THINGS ZOMBIE rules seem great for groups of humans fighting (it doesn't always have to be about zombies) each other.

And they also seem a bit 'action heroish' which would fit in great with the old A-team.

Do you got a van like thiers too?

ATZ is based on the Chain Reaction Rules from Two Hour Wargames. Might be more suitable for what you're looking for.

So far I've only painted Mr. T, but I'll get round to the others one day.

Here he is guest-starring in an old episode of "Pete Murray: Dinosaur Hunter!"

Gangs of Mega City One is currently the game I am recommending to use for everything. Lots of fun. Interesting game mechanics. Might work for the A-Team.

But don't forget one important think about your shooting rule ! The following factor must be taken into consideration :

Despite the massive amount of bullets and explosion spend per episode, the A-Team and their opponents never kill someone ! sometime, these is a wounded but that's all !
