Title: Ironclad Miniatures Pathans - size comparison
Post by: Furt on October 13, 2016, 07:18:20 AM
Does anyone have the Ironclad Miniatures Pathans and can comment on (or better still show) their compatibility with the Wargames Foundry Pathans?

They look like a totally different build but they may match up size wise.

Ive seen ironclads mix with artizan, from what I can tell they are a bit chunkier.

Furt - I've got some Ironclad. They're pretty big, noticeably larger than Foundry. A better match with Artizan. These days there's so much choice  :D just painted up some of the new Perry and Studio Miniatures ones. Clearly the Perry go perfectly with Foundry, the Studio guys are similar sidewise. Sorry to say the Ironclad guys have been left behind a bit quality wise...

I don't have any of the Ironclad Pathans but have bought stuff from several of their other ranges. While a different sculpting style compared to the others, they are a pleasure to paint for those of us whose ability cannot do justice to the detail on a Perry or Artizan figure - like the Old Glory Pathans they look better painted and, most important, are equally effective on the table.  :-)

While not owning any 2nd Afghan War stuff from Ironclad (YET), I do have most of their VSF range and would say they were rugged characterful models that look the part when painted.
