Title: Zombie Kill Team from GW Cadians (wip)

As Halloween approaches, thoughts turn to Zombies.....

A Zombie Kill Team converted from GW's 'push together' pack of 5 Cadian troopers, using weapons and pouches from the Wargames Factory Male/Female Survivor sprues. Still WIP with plenty of cleaning and gap filling etc to do but the parts work well together. As manufactured they all have that awkward 'flat' profile with rifle across the body out of synch with head/legs but 'cutting and shutting' enabled some poses I like.

They'll be played with some of the aforementioned WGF survivors and Mantic Ghouls (modded with some Frostgrave Cultist parts).

The project will be a slow burn and will be something of a mash-up of cinematic influences:

The Crazies (original) - thus M16s for the special forces
Ghosts of Mars - the blood cult of drugged-up ragers (not Zombies as such)
The Horde - survivors trapped in an infested tower block
The Raid - special forces trapped in a tower block
Quarantine - The Horde and The Raid combined!

Just to organise a tower block.....  :)

And maybe a helicopter to land on the roof.....

Steve, this is nice. Plastic is full of ideas. Maybe you can use your buildings for SSS....?

It's amazing how much better the Cadians look like this. I didn't know they could look so good. This is impressive work. I'm looking forward to seeing them painted.

I think the Cadians are nice figures, simplified by 'chunky' weapons and equipment. Remove the lasgun, pouches, waterbottle and knife, and trim the outside of the boots for a slimmer fit, and they develop a less 'simplistic' appearance. Reposing and adding contemporary weapons/kit is then a blast.

Dirk, thanks, yeah I could use the SSS buildings but am presently undecided on terrain.... outdoors will definitely be temperate rather than snow but I have indoors games in mind aswell.
