I entered Beasts of War's Hobbyween competition and finished this earlier today.
The Paramours of the Morpheus Rift were only mentioned once in a single sentence on an old incarnation of the GW website :
“The threat posed by the Paramours of the Morpheus Rift is too terrible to dwell upon, and it is fortunate indeed these abominations are confined to a relatively small area of space towards the otherwise uninhabitable galactic core.”
So I decided to adopt them as my own and make my own design and model for them.

The model was 3d modelled and 3d printed. I got Zealot to 3d print the model, as they are doing the prints for my own wargame to.
I did a number of units but went with the Reaper in the end :

And cos I'm a nerd :

The print came in 5 components which I had to pin and superglue :

The unpainted diorama :

Lovely paint job and diorama work there. How much did that cost to get printed? And, obviously, would you be willing to sell more if someone were interested?
-
Thanks! It cost £95 to be printed, and is unfortuantly uncastable due to how I modelled various parts of it.
-
Oof. Far too much, easier to sculpt my own. 3D printing costs are outrageous.
-
Yeah, they are unfortuantly :( the upside is the casting/moulds are quite cheap. I do hope printing costs come down in time though as I agree it's pretty insane.

Nice job

Nice, puts me in mind of the Dayak from the film Immortal (Ad Vitam) so that's going on my watch list for tomorrow!
I always neglected the fluff in 40k which is a shame as I know it's very rich - top job for taking a snippet and turning
it into this piece 8)
