Title: Perry desert rats as foreign legion?
Post by: sunspear on November 27, 2016, 07:56:36 AM
I am wanting to build a force of foreign legion. If I can get my hands on some kepi heads would the bodies work? I'm just trying to see if I can get away with using plastics.  Any opinions or suggestions?

It depends how many of them you want ...and how much you care about stuff like the weapons and personal equipment being wrong even once you've done the swap to the head with kepi  ;) surely it's going to be more straightforward just to buy the actual Perry French Foreign Legion metals? Yes a few pounds/dollars more but really? in the great scheme of things?

They will do the job for the tunisian campaign, at least for the weapons, as more and more brtish rifles and LMG, and uniforms were in use . But they kept the french MG and mortars .
( But most of the Tunisian campaign was fought in "winter" dress , so ... ) .
i agree with Eclaireur, its best to use the metal minis .
