Ramshackle's latest toy:

Postapocalyptic uses aside, it's a lovely Ork Spleenrippa proxy, isn't it?

That is indeed a lovely Spleenrippa! Fantastic work by Curtis. It is like the old epic scale 'rippa has come to life  :-*

I gotta say, though, all those years Curtis trolled Kev White on the Frothers forums about unoriginal ideas... the man's got a brass neck (with a lovely post-apoc tarnish paintjob, of course).

According to the TTGN news story that pointed me over to that link, the master was actually submitted by an independent artist.  Ramshackle didn't commission it, they're just casting it and selling it.  They're apparently willing to look at doing similar deals (you make a model, they make a mold and send you some copies in exchange for sales rights) for other people.  Makes me think I should look into doing some sculpting myself.

And to be fair, this isn't the first 28mm scale take on that Epic model.  Can't recall if it was Armorcast or someone else, but I can remember fighting against them back in 2nd edition 40K.

*sigh* There goes my dream of a wealthy retirement at the sale of my old Epicast...  lol

Seriously, pleased to see fond memories enjoyed by a wider audience.
