On a whim I have bought the GHQ models of King George V and Prinz Eugen. Although I have several books on naval warfare in WWII, none tell me how to paint my new acquisitions. Could anybody here refer me to an on-line resource or perhaps a book which shows how British and German ships were painted and what colour the decks of various ships were. I'm looking for plenty of colour illustrations if possible as I plan to buy a few more ships (well, how could I resist?). Also, any links to threads on the LAF regarding painting these ships.
Thanks in advance. :)

Many thank, George, that first one is ideal.

There is also a decent little Osprey book; "German Heavy Cruisers 1939-45" by Gordon Williamson which covers the Eugen/Hipper/Blucher, while for George V class ships there's "King George V Class Battleships" by Roger Chesneau happy miniature sailing!

Many thanks, Ballardian. I'll have a look for those, cheers.

The Shipcraft series (of which you recommended the Roger Chesneau book) seems to be exactly what I want, so I've bought these two, thanks for the tip.
