I'm getting into Zombie Apocalypse. This is my first survivor, a great mini from Hasslefree Miniatures. Just for the fun, a Walking Dead like filter applied on the miniature photograph.

The filter is done with Prisma App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neuralprisma&hl=en)
Really straight forward. I guess you can find something very similar on the Gimp too.

Prisma is a great easy app, soon we will all make our AARs into comics :)

The apps cool and all but the real star of those pictures is that shirt :-* damn man, that is a top shelf job right there.  Just do yourself a favour and don't go that awesome on your zombie hoards dude,  it must have took an age to do that

Thanks so much. Actually I'm more happy with the Denim result than the shirt. And it wasn't that long to achieve.

Much as I hate the psuedo-attack site Photobucket, it was worth the pain to drill down to the image to expand for a good look.

May not have taken 'that long', but the results on shirt AND pants are still smashing. Really living/breathing!

If you really MUST have criticism, I suppose someone could say something about the eyes.  :D

I finally purchased The Walking Dead All Out of War from Mantic, since I have read good review and the Walking Dead Comics is what bring me into Zombie Apocalypse years ago. Here's one more Rick Grimes :

Played a quick game with the Kids yesterday. A house near the road is going to be investigate by the survivors.
Dale's RV is the starting location. Few roamers in the wood, sounds pretty easy, it will be more complicated than it sounds.but no one has been badly hurt.

The setup just makes me want to be there (at the table, not on it!).

I SO need this game! Mayhaps I can afford to order it after summer vacation, if the economy recovers from confirmation of my eldest daughter.

That's definitively a fun game. Easy rules which works very well and get the flavor. Games are pretty quick 30 to 90 minutes even if we haven't play very large game.
We mostly play cooperative.

Wave 2 of Mantic the Walking Dead hits my local store. I was there only to grab one or two paint bottle and ends up with purchasing the Tyreese expansion pack. I've been very reasonable ... I know ... but my banker wouldn't have support my pulsion of grab it all.
Not the best mini in the range and dark colors are not my zone of comfort but here is the close combat freak.

Thanks. Agreed there's definitively something wrong in this sculpt. He is suppose to be a massive Pro Football Player but the upper body is a bit oversize and would have benefits of a more dynamic pose.

I'm not an anatomy expert but to me the problem is somewhere between his waist and pelvis. It looks like he is wearing a girdle. Good paint job though!

I think the jacket is doing weird things around the waist. The material seems scooped in somehow, like it's being sucked into a hollow belly, in a way that cloth wouldn't hang. Also, the creases at the sides are oddly positioned, as though the body is twisting both to the left and to the right (if you know what I mean).

But again, your paintwork is absolutely bang on. I find it very difficult to paint black cloth, but you've absolutely nailed it.

He's great - my favourite so far (though I echo others on how good the black cloth is on the Tyreese. I'm definitely going to get involved in the Walking Dead releases - they're great.

I have ordered a couple of buildings from TTCombat. Very good delivery times and good damn kits for the prices.

Here's the first one, it build like a charm. I did a very quick paint on it and it probably need some weathering.
I have two of these, a two storey suburban house, a gas station, and a "Grey Harbor" House that will goes for Hershel Farm.
A lot on my plate.

This building comes for 10£. It's pretty large 16.5x18cm. There's two selves and a counter inside for this price. I highly recommend them.

That shop looks excellent.  The photo/action scene is a nice bit of showing off.  Love that walker slinking about in the interior!  Great work!

That camp site scatter is awesome!  Much better than a tent by itself.  The extras give it a lived it look that I'm digging.  Looking forward to seeing some more.

I haven't got any Wave 3 stuff yet, and wasn't sure about the twins minis....bit seeing that has completely sold me on them!

Must stay strong and not move onto wave 3 until.i finish wave 2!

I must say I love this game. I've only played it a bit as a solo game so far (slowly working through the story) but it's great fun. It's also got me reading the comic.  Something completely new for me!

They can probably be used in rescue scenario. I'll need to test if their special ability worth their 8 points (they are cheap)

Dexter came out awesome.  Love the tat!  His skin and the orange are excellent.  Following up your Dexter is more intimidating than painting a tiger :D .

Marine0846 - I've only played solo, but from watching non-solo games on YouTube it's the ability to keep your eye on the threat tracker, achieve your objectives while denying your opponent(s) theirs... and all the time dealing with the walking dead (avoid or kill) that gets you out on top.

Rules are pretty straight forward. Keep focus on the Threat Level to avoid missing increasing it when needed (a common mistake that influence the climax of the game). To keep it simple, also avoid as much as possible for your firsts game items with special properties (keywords) who can modify a rule and make the came less fluid.

Keeping the threat level low as long as possible, use the Zed against your enemy, they can be the best weapon on the board.

I'm working on the TTcombat Gas Station (the cheapest one). It has been painted and mostly assembled but needs to be based properly.

In the meantime, I have done two (very) quick paint jobs on these two down survivors that I plan to use as objectives in some scenario.

These resin miniatures are OK but far from perfect, they are not as smooth as you expect from good resin.

Awesome roadway.  I've been puzzling over how to add roads to my board.  I've considered build an angled, elevated roadway that could be dropped onto a flat table.  I can take some of that away from your road but I'm also thinking about early in the TWD seasons when the Atlanta group was looking for Sofia.

I'm not totally satisfied with my roads. They'll do the job for sure but based on what I have done I'm pretty sure I can upgrade the process for better results.

Played a game yesterday with my younger kid. Brain Blake and his minions are on a supply run near Woodbury.
They will discover survivors in a bad situations. They will decide to try to save them and bring them back to Woodbury

That was a busy week-end. I have finished my second TTCombat shop and a farmhouse for the Walking Dead.
The Farmhouse will most probably be used as the Greene's Farm in some scenario. I need to work on a barn.

I'm really happy with TTCombat, their buildings are cheap, well design, easy to build and looks good on the table.

The buildings look great.  A good paint brings MDF to life .  I especially like the farmhouse.  It's a sharp design that I've been meaning to try to recreate with foamboard.

I built and painted  the Sarissa Precision Residential Trailer this week-end. It is a very nice kit.
The only issue is that it is probably close to real scale which make this trailer big compare to other houses that are usually downsized.
I'll probably order 2 or 3 more.

Received my order from Antenocitis Workshop. Great and very clean resin casting. Great customer service.
Vehicules matches in size with Mantics ones. The trash piles and the bins are great too.

Highly recommended.

Not if the survivors (just the kids, as they can't jump over the fence) are in the middle of the maze and the zombies start around the outside edge. Two or more zombies push down a fence and no weapons for the kids. Actually just make it Carl in the maze. Let him have his lucky charm. Jeez I really hate him if you hadn't guessed lol

Played a couple of Here's Negan lately. That's a fun boardgame and not that easy at all. The Zombie tokens add some uncertainty to the game (Space Hulk like)

Just saw your thread again and your stuff is great! When I saw Mantic's Spencer I thought he looked horrible with his baby face. But now I see yours and I really like him. Great work on those latest releases!

Great stuff as always. Its inspired me to get back to my TWD stuff, I've got a lot still to paint but I've been reminded how much I enjoy painting these models.
