Settled back at home after a fantastic day,met lots of friendly people, game was popular, place was buzzing with good trade stands and easy access.Well done Sally and team on the organisation and venue. My favourite show of the year, back in 2018.
-
I also had a fantastic time. I picked up everything I wanted at cheaper prices than if I had bought it online, got to look at and handle stuff I was curious about, got some decent freebies and some bargains on the bring and buy and met lots of nice folk. Also for the first time ever I had a go at a couple of participation games, trying a couple of new rulesets.
I have decided that I am going to drastically cut down or curtail buying online for the rest of this year and just buy at shows instead.
Took a few pics
Here a couple of fun games that seemed to be attracting lots of youngsters:

Here is an Italian Wars game I participated in trying A Pikeman's Lament rules. They were very easy to pick up in a short time. That is my crossbowmen just crossing the road. My gendarmes have already creamed his skirmishers and took out a unit of pikemen.

I too had a good time. Thanks to the nice table top sale (many thanks Sally) cleared a lot of stuff I am either never going to get around to doing, or use again. Then a quick wiz around to spend my ill gotten gains. That was the easy part. I did manage to buy less than I wanted, but then I wanted lots.
-
Had a great day out and the best part was to see a lot of young kids getting involved in games, lots of people and as put forward the most friendly show around ... best show also its right up on the list, well done Sally

You are right the atmosphere was noticeably friendly and there were lots of youngsters getting involved in the games.

Yeap, very friendly show and well worth the journey. Managed to get all we wanted, as well as a bit more and a good game of "Chicago Way" on the Grat Escape Games stand.

Quietly tucked away by the Great Escape Games stand, just in front of the Redoubt stand in the main hall. It was partially hidden by a pillar and the board was only 2' x 4' - just right for a 15 minute skirmish. Shame you missed it.

Fortunately we were next to Nevermore so got the opportunity to ogle that lovely game throughout the day.
A really good show, the only downside being that we wanted to close our game down and go off and play some of the others lol
-
I really love the game you put on John, simple but full of gaming from others...look like a lot of fun.

Yes it deserved to win a prize....and it did ;)
