I've been bombarded with PM's ,so here's a quick look at the walker for Dragon Bait Miniatures.( its only undercoated because no one seems willing to wait until next week when it'll be painted)
-
The armoured dome is removable. So you can achieve a different look without the need to kit bash. The weapon system is on a simple block so you can put you own weapon system in without risking damaging the kit cutting out the original.

Wow... Just... wow... :o

Thank you for the comments.
As for the price I've no idea.I do know that postal costs might not be such an issue this side of the pond as you think.Without Joe's permission I won't elaborate further.
It's been designed so mould lines are at the minimum and this one has been moulded and cast by someone who knows their onions.
This casting require only a minimal light sanding to remove mould over fill( less than 0.5mm) in fact I only used an nail file.(a cardboard affair).
All the leg joints are mortises and Tenon joints included the 'hip' joints the top section of the leg hub is flat equilateral triangle so its virtually impossible to put it facing the wrong way if you line it up with the equivalent triangle of the lower half.
The upper body is only two parts again a simple butt joint. It attaches to the leg 'hub' via a triangular shaped mortises and Tenon joint.
The armoured dome shield is optional and doesn't warrant gluing otherwise you could access the cab area. The weapon system was mentioned earlier .
As such it took less than ten minutes to put together
Including sanding . Not discounting the fact I'm already familiar with the parts. It has been designed to be simple to construct as more complicated kits will suffer on gaming tables.

It has been designed with typical Prussian efficiency lol

Apparently on Dragon Bait's FB: This Prussian Behemoth will be part of the Venus 1888 range. This was my first full resin kit.
Yes, always good to start small and work up... :o

This is the small version. Joes original thoughts were way way bigger! When I tried to incorporate them into a sculpt ( in fact I've still got three unfinished leg masters)
I know once people check Facebook they'll be in .As Joe has mentioned that its been cast this side of the pond.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for all the great comments. It is quite a monstrosity. I have some folks I am in correspondence with that may cast them in England for the sake of shipping.
The Venus 1888 Kick starter starts Jan first and ends March 1st. Everything in the KS should ship within the month.

Blimey, that's big!

It's roughly 18cm tall(give it take a couple of mm) . From the ground level to the top of the smoke stack.

Very cool :) Need to figure out what I can use this as...

Just a couple more pictures.

And a few more.

That dome is crying out for a grinning skull paintjob...... great piece of kit. :)

I DON"T need this.
But some small dark voice deep inside me says,
"I command you to, BUY."
I will obey. o_o

Great fun. Needs some Prussian infantry in support.

So has the Kickstarter for Venus 1888 started yet?

Add a few troops, and you'll finally have something big enough to take on my Norwegians... :D

Patience, Randy me lad. I'd no idea this would appeal to you. Should I be afraid? ;->=
While it says 'Jan 1' in a post above, Cotton-Eye announced on the third on TMP "It starts in eleven days and everything is flat out."
The lad will have to give the last word.

Sinew ole bean, I've seen your pile; more than 'a few troops' seems in order. ;->=

The good news is I will have greens of the last units, both artillery and command by this weeks end.
The bad news is though the Walker is beautiful when it arrived, it also came with a piece broken in the xmas hubbub. I am getting a quote from caster in America for production before this goes forward. I will then most likely need an other master before the American Mold can be made.
I am pretty sure all will be in order by next week for the Kickstarter to jump off.
Thanks for your patience and support... :)

Are there any in-progress shots of the construction of this beast?
I've been dabbling in scratch building myself and I've been scratching my head over how to make everything not look like poorly shaped styrofoam. ???
-
Beware! He is obviously a filthy Britisher spy! Don't fall for his tricks!!
:D

Looking forward to this one...

Hi Von,
The KS is in full swing and with the next update I am reducing the cost of the Walker after a conversation with the guys at Trenchworks who are casting it. All good stuff just save some pennies on production..
