Played them once they are worth giving a try. I hope to play them again at some point.

Thank you. I want to try to game by these rules.
What are you do not like and what you like you can tell me briefly?
I find it difficult play by the rules in English. I want to understand whether to do translation.

These rules are based on ACW Brother against Brother rules. Units are 10 figures strong and when moving units you move the leader figure and then place the rest of the unit around him within the command radius. Its a long long time since I played them, I think d10s are used fire combat and may be morale, they are a decent set of rules but not outstanding. To be honest I think Triumph and Tradergy is a much better set of rules for this scale of action and can be easly adapted to to taste. Just my opinion of course. :D

Hello and Happy New Year!

Thank you for your opinion ... "Triumph and Tragedy" similar to the "Bolt Action"? I have these rules - perhaps a good solution would be to adapt them to the game on period RCW?

Happy New Year!

T&T is in some ways similar to BA but a bit more interesting in game play with the ability to create characters it is also a d10 combat but with d6 morale. I had not thought of using BA for RCW but it would work. I have played Through the Mud and Blood rules by the Two Fat Lardies with RCW and that is a very good game but more of a simulation than the other two rules. It is aimed at WW1 but is easy to make the changes needed for the RCW. If I were going to have to translate a whole set of rules to play I would go for T&T for quick games and Mud and Blood for longer games of a more (realistic)? Type of game.

I've not played them, but I've played lots of Brother Against Brother.   They tend to be simple and bloody, and work well where troop quality is much the same.   (That's fine for the ACW, but not good for the Mutiny)

I've not played Triumph and Tragedy (though I really should give them a try)   but Through the Mud and Blood is the best platoon level WWI game I've run across.

Oh yeah! These rules are well known in Russia.
Rules are good, but there are some drawbacks. Therefore, they have been redesigned our wargamers. Russian version is called "Steel Storm". I like to this version of the rules anymore;) And in them game actively, only use figures of 28 mm.
You can view the reports from recent games in St. Petersburg.
