Title: Medieval Bridge Project
Post by: Alfrik on February 19, 2009, 07:42:58 PM
Worked this up over the last weekend as a proof project to show me what I needed to do for my final bridge project. Thought I would share it with the posts readers.

And there you have it.

I love the rough finish - good job. I made something similar for my 15mm Back of Beyond, inspired by a photo of crumbling mud brickwork and bits of tree that constituted a bridge somewhere in the Pamirs. Have you ever tried doing a stone bridge? I found this one quite satisfying (and quite quick). Lots of sculpted milliput on a carved expanded polysterene and card core.

You could probably achieve a quicker result using foamcore or engraved styrofoam

Two great bridges above.
Its funny how every body seems to be working on similar projects in this forum.
My brother was looking for a bridge model for a game so he took an old scratch built one of mine and done it up.
No before picture. It was terrible anyway.
But here is how he finished it.
