Evening Folks and a Happy New Year to you one and all.
For Christmas I had 2 SAS JEEP Squadrons and a couple of LRDG Chevy's. All in said 28mm. As you can see that's an awful lot of crew so I was hoping for some suggestions of how to "hold" them while painting. Standard based figures I just hot glue to bottle tops but obviously that won't work on this occasion.
Many thanks in Advance. JB

If you've got a fine drill, drill a 1-2mm deep hole in the bum of the seated figure, tiny dab of superglue in that hole, then poke in a wire spear or other piece of stiff piano wire. Then sink the other end of the wire into a cork - the type of corks with plastic tops attached like you get on port and sherry bottles are ideal.
Hey presto, you have a handle to hold the figure while you paint it at your leisure.
This is how I always do riders, seated and lying figures...

For these and mounted figures, which I tend to paint separate from the horse, I drill a small hole in their bum and glue them onto stiff wire pressed into a wine cork. The hole can be used later to pin them in place.
beaten to the post :D

Great minds... ;)

Miniature buggery - with photographic evidence to prove it - and perhaps rum as well. Then all is needed is the lash for the quote to be complete! :o

Sodomy, surely?
