Everything about this is so amazing and ridiculous and I have absolutely no idea why it's not a movie yet.

Yet another bomb landed on and devastated a regal Dodge touring car owned by a Mexican Army officer, which had been left on the American side of the border for safekeeping during the expected hostilities.

That made me smile! What a great story!

General Escobar, kept a plane loaded with gold near the border so he could escape if the revolution collapsed.

A perfect scenario, the major plot point is a plane loaded with gold ready for take-off!

Exploding train cars! Buffalo Soldiers! Mercenary pilots! (and this detail from Wikipedia, According to a witness, Murphy and Gorre were friends and although hired by opposing sides, would take turns making bombing runs on the opposing forces in Naco, Sonora, and would spend the night drinking together and enjoying themselves.)

The plane loaded with gold is also a perfect pulp McGuffin. Hmm, maybe it got lost in the collapse of this attempted revolution and is still out in the desert sometime after 1929, even!

Speaking of ready-made pulp scenarios, here's another! The Catacombs of the L.A. Lizard People! http://www.lamag.com/citythinkblog/citydig-the-underground-catacombs-of-las-lizard-people/

It even comes with a ready-made map and newspaper articles as player handouts!

The suitcases-as-crude-bomb-bays was another detail that tickled me AND served as an idea for something you could add to a plane to be used in-game. The pilots both buying their suitcase bombs from the same man only makes that funnier.
