Guys, maybe you saw it already, I placed Google Advertising in our forum. In the last two months we got lots of traffic and i had to pay in january extra traffic fees and these aren't really cheap. And it looks like we will get some more traffic in future. There is another possibility, some forums do it with supporting members like TMP etc. But I dont like that and think the advertising is a better choice, you dont need to pay me, just click on the ADS from time to time. I'm far from trying to make lots of money with this forum, i just need some support. Thank you!

No problem Prof - we all live in the real world.
I'm sure the ads won't upset anyone.
-
No problem Prof. Also, have you thought about getting miniature companies to advertise?
I'd be willing to pay to get a rotating banner up on the site.
-
Well, the ads are pretty inobtrusive, compared to some fora I visit, so I donīt have a problem with that...
... on the other hand, Iīd actually pay a nominal support fee (say 20,- p.a.) for LAF. Since it is more fun and currently more useful than certain other fora, where I wouldnīt want to pay.
If the ads pay the bills, the current state is fine with me.

Thanks, Chris, i hope ads will be enough, we will see :)

No, I didn't.
I'm running a script blocking google-ads.
But as a regular visitor I wouldn't mind paying a small fee, too.

me too. How about the omnipresent 'Paypal Donate Button'? It would be the first time I'd actually klick on it ;-)
Z.

I won't mind contributing to support this forum. I must say is the best miniature-wargaming forum I've seen...
-
yes, thanks, lads, i'll think about a "Paypal Donate" button :D
-
Im positive to Paypal Donate.
But until then i can click the ads now and then.
-
hey thats ok to me

Well, we can't have you buying less minis for us to look at, can we?
I'm not too familiar with the 'ads-concept'; is it just the blue links we have too click now and again?

-
Did my clicking for today :-)
One of the ads that appears to me is actually the webhotel, I'm going to buy some space on (9 Dkr. per month/ free traffic/lots of space).
-
Yup, I click at least 4-5 ads each day.
I'm quite intrigued by the Cthulu movie that's being advertised!
A must-see!!

A change...Google is gone and the new forum supporter is in - Battlefield Berlin (http://www.battlefield-berlin.de/shop) Thanks to Christian and Jano from BB and welcome! :)
-
Well, good on them! I have oogling trheir site for quite some time now for my steady supply of Adventure minis. They stock a lot of what I crave and whit P&P a bit below what the Brits ask for.
-
Excellent! And I see from their banner that they have excellent taste in game promotion. 8)
