Here's my display model of the Hard Suit.
In person it's a bit darker and much more matt. I need to experiment a bit to find out how to take pictures of metallic paint jobs. I think you get the idea however.
It should be for sale soon. Hopefully we'll get the casts next week, but I'm not sure if we need to save them for Cold Wars as we're only going to have 50 in the first set. (I think I need a new resin guy...)
I think I'm going to have the sculptor do an accessory set to make one of these into a steampunk version of Heinlein's power armor. :)

I like this miniature. Great paintjob as well, with the contrast of the dark metal armor against the gleaming cold windows.
-
Gorgeous work, Wolf.
I hope you'll consider selling them before Cold Wars. I'm sure some of the gang here would be glad to relieve you of them;)

I'm sure. :) The problem is getting more in a timely fashion. It's why I said I need a new resin guy. He does good casting, but it's taken practically a month to get about 50 of them ... with two molds going.
It's almost like trying to get stock from the UK. :)

Remind me not to use your caster if I ever get my line off the ground ::) Sort of like trying to get terrain from Monolith...
I understand the need to have numbers, of course. Ye must do what ye must, but let us know when they're available.

Of course. I'm going to try Acheson Creations next. I can't say I like his sculpting, but his casting is pretty good. And I at least know he does it full time. :)
-
His terrain selection isn't half bad. I'm about to order some for my Aztec project. I'll let you know how it looks when I get it.

Very nice suit, sir.
The small windows on the helmet remins me of a 19th century French armoured diving suit I saw at an exhibition I saw when in Paris a few years ago.
These would work very nicely with my VSF French force ....

You mean this one? :) http://www.divingheritage.com/armoredkern2c.htm I wonder if there's actual enough of a market for all the different types.

No need. He goes to most of the shows we do. He gave us his pitch for production at Little Wars, and I even gave him one of my SPRU figures because he was interested to see if he could cast figures that fine. I kinda hope he can...

I do really like that :-*

That's the one. Its a really impressive suit up close.
Keep us posted on when this suit will be available - my French forces on Venus need some form of impervious suit and this fits the bill perfectly.

Now he looks pretty darn good with a coat of paint on him!
He is on the list of things to get :D

Alright, Dad's getting antsy to release this one. And we've gotten confirmation that the caster has shipped 73 units of the suit. So I've put it up under Lead Bones Sci-Fi at Recreational Conflict. Orders will ship as soon as it comes in, which should be early next week.

It's $8 USD for a single kit and we have a five man unit deal for $36 USD. Don't forget the giant crabs and starfighters to go with it. :)

Yeah! Man, I hate those guys. :) (We have dealt with really slow resin casters over there, but it wasn't you. Sorry if I gave that impression.)
-
I've got to get some of these. What are the shipping costs for a pack of 5 to the UK?
-
We currently have it set up for regular mail at $5 dollars world wide for that price bracket. The shipping prices are at the top of our website's front page if you need to consider.
-
Update: We got our latest resin order in at last. The hard suits bound for Europe have been packed up first. (I guess because it's more of a pain shipping them. :) )
Bad news is that over half of the suits have had major air bubble problems over one particular part of the face plate. So I'm going to be resculpting and filling in the affected suits tonight so we can get any remaining European orders and the ones for the U.S. out sometime tomorrow.
You can imagine I'm not happy with this, and I'm glad we've decided to change casters.

You'd best be ordering a pack for me if you are going to get some. ;)
