Title: Photographer Stretch goal concept art and question...
Post by: Cotton Eyed Joe on February 20, 2017, 04:21:40 PM
Hi Folks,

After some major research..(at least ten minutes), I have discovered the Kodak Camera,or Famous Brownie, was invented in 1888. A student of the times may appreciate this Lady with her Kodack or Brownie, where others may feel its looks like some weird chick pointing a shoebox at you....

Thoughts...

She does look fun..The traditional camera is instantly recognizable but were just used for Studio work. The Brownie or Kodak was far more popular and handy but for the less enthused player, period wise, just looks like a box.

I am lucky to work with two great concept artists and his rendition, too include fashion is pretty cool on this one.

Nelly Bly, The Orphan, Belle Star and Annie Oakley are all about to hit as well.

I always imagined Nellie Bly as a photographer as well, but probably just warped by certain films.

The larger cameras were used 'on location', but usually static scenes, say, after a battle, where there could be a fair amount of 'posing' of corpses.

Quite exciting!
