Post by: jony663 on March 03, 2017, 03:08:36 AM
While I like the reviews on Twitter and WSS blog post, but is anyone else waiting expectantly for this new TOOFATLardies game?

Sounds fun, I've a Maus that's not going to see much table time that could benefit from this (ae they at Salute this year - & is it likely to be available?).

Sounds good. I've not tried any TOOFATLardies games yet and this one sounds ideal.

SO where do you buy this from when it comes out?

Can't find it in the Lardies shop. Maybe it's not yet available for sale...

I don't know, in the US Army, these are tankers:

What us tankers called the thing in your top picture was 'fuel hemmet' (fuel HEMTT) or 'gas station'.

I strongly suspect believe it's a pun/pointing fun item on the British curse word starting with W and tank troops. ;)

Pointless having a mass debate about it, I'm just looking forward to the rules being released :)

Evening chaps

"What a Tanker" is the rather silly project title for a WWII tank game we are developing.  I strongly suspect that it will end up being called Tank Commander. As suggested, it is a play on words, and rather naughty words at that.

As we are in early playtest at present, it is unlikely to get to production until the latter part of this year.  Certainly not Easter or Salute. But fear not, I will let you know how we are progressing.

Cheers

Rich

As a Tanker (and probably fit most folks' definition of the other word too) I can't wait!

Good to see our American cousins onan the word tanker. In these parts tankies are known as 'bucket heads' or 'wombats' (not to be shot at or exported overseas).

A tankie to me means a really short top on a girl. Rich has often used interesting names for his rules and I have to say I like that. I have never bought rules. Asked on a title unless you consider Nuns With Guns

Have you ever considered the alternative proposition that rather than the girl having a "really short top" she does in fact just have really long legs? :)

In the UK a tank top is what the rest of the world calls a sweater vest. So a girl in a tank top here is probably someone's nan*.   :)
