Hey
I bought some Crossover figures at the recent Vapnartak show in York.
Do you ever get a pack of figures on a whim that you can't help but work on as soon as you get home?
That's what happened to me. I thought the Defender's pose was really similar to my favourite Alex Ross painting of Green Lantern, so as the trader (MiniBits) also happened to have a pack of the Viridian Guardians it led me to knock these out.
Obviously a human GL, and the others inspired by the characters Tomar Re, Katma Tui and Kilowog (although he's really too small, so I would use him as a younger Bolovaxian new to the Corps).
Hope you guys like them, I am as ever happy to take any comments or criticisms you feel like throwing my way.
Cheers
Rob

I like them. Cartoony painting style as befits the subject matter. :)

Very good.

Thank you very much chaps. 🙂
I'm hoping to have a bad guy for them to fight finished in the next couple of days.

Nice job on those. They're cracking Supers figures and you've really brought that out.
-
very nice idea. I think I may steal this idea myself. Love it.

Fantastic! I rarely see pics of this crew painted up. You've done them more than justice, very nice work sir :)
Bring on the villain!
-
Thanks again. :)
Fergal - nice to hear you like them, if you want to lift the picture for the website, please feel free.

And now I've had chance to finish the villain of the piece. :)
May I present His Galactic Excellency Lob-Ohnn, Imperatus Erectus and Priapt of the Purple Dome.
Also pictured measuring up to the Green Lantern for scale purposes.

Nice job on that too. Your painting really works well on the Crossover figures.

Great figures, great painting! I've loved those Crossover aliens since they debuted a couple years ago.
-
Very good paint job.

Thank you for all the positive comments. :)
Still need to work out a better way of taking pictures though, as they are still coming out a bit fuzzy.

Wonderful.
That is a cracking looking team of do-gooders and Lord Knobb-Ed* looks like a suitable enemy to cause them grief.

*His title did give me a chuckle.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a puerile sense of humour! lol
Thanks for the kind words.

Fantastic! That's the first painted 'space lord' that I've seen in the wild, well done :)
-
Thanks again Fergal. :)
Again, feel free to use the pics if they are good enough.

I, Threadomancer! lol
A year on, I decided to make a Guardian to go with the GL Corps.
I thought maybe some of the Guardians were a bit more hands on, so I have tried to portray him with a force construct sword to show he's happy to get stuck in with the emerald space cops.
Also included a scale shot next to the human GL to show how wee he is.
