Really Lovely Work. Running out of superlatives to describe your painting. Do you use brands other than Essex? I rather like Essex figs myself, but some of the more animated stuff from War & Empire or Xyston would be nice to see. (And inspiring, as i have a bunch of these to paint myself.)

I went in on the recent War & Empire kickstarter, so I'll be getting their Vikings soon. I've also got a few packs of Xyston Thracians to go my Essex Seluecids.

At last! Beautifully painted Macedonian Pikemen with straight pikes!
(Wire of course, very well done and wonderfully elaborated at the tip!)  :)

So true. I hate units that look like they are Boer wagon drivers with
enormous bull whips.

Very nice indeed. Not the world's most exciting figures but a lovely rendition. I am also very impressed with how neat the re-spearing is. In 15mm I seem to end up with horribly deformed hands and globs of superglue everywhere.

I'm looking forward to a group shot of the army.

All your figures here are beautifully painted, but that Roman army all together is truly a wonderful thing to behold!  :-*

I don't suppose you have more close-up photos of them do you?

If you are looking at Vikings, then Forged in Battle would be my recommendation.

At last, something I don't like!

I am still waiting to see some Numidians that get me excited. Maybe it's because I need to see some more lithe dynamism in the horses. Like Legio, I find plenty of Khurasan horses are just a bit too course and thick.

I have to agree. Nice sculpts, Nice paint, but they don't do it for me. Not enough animation, light cavalry should always be in motion. And while there are limits to maintain the sturdiness of the leg, these are very bulky. Like young Clydesdales.

Are they Khurasan though - they donít look like these: https://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/pmw-numidian-lcav.jpg

Though the Khurasan site is do hard to navigate, there could be others - Iím sure there are some Moors somewhere but I canít find them!
