Great scene, and lovely Pathans, Admiral!
Are the House Greyjoy shields by hand...? If so... :o :o :o

Very colorful Pathans. Love it. :)

Well, Admiral. That scene is simply out of this world. It looks more an oil painting of a real action than a miniatures unit!
-
No, the Greyjoy shields are not by hand. They are decals from Schild Schmie. Now just 56 more to do!

My thoughts precisely!

Unlucky DB, Nice Greyjoys, but the Admiral is in great form and unstoppable.
Brilliantly atmospheric photo and superb paintwork Admiral :-*

The Admiral's entry is quite evocative. I almost feel sorry for the British on the other side of those rocks!

You did an excellent job integrating them into the shields, applying decals is it's own art form :)

Thank you! I studied LT. Hazel's guide to adding battle damage on shields. They looked a little plain without it, and it helps to cover any mistakes! Imdoo think I need to use a lighter/brighter color on the "gashed" areas. They don't stand out as much as I would like. I think I need to do a practice model- too bright and it take away from the kraken, too dark and it doesn't show at all. I also need to experiment with matte varnishing the shields. They are fine normally, but it seems my lighting scheme for photos always brings out the shine on them. I used to work in Hollywood as a prop assistant in commercials, and now I have some empathy for the directors I worked with! The amount of matte spray we went through may have started global warming on its own!

One must simply love those Pathans! Brilliantly executed and perfectly set in scene.
