Title: Afternoon, Colonel (Was Painting a British "Colonel") Now with pic
Post by: Onebigriver on April 04, 2017, 12:35:12 PM
Finally getting round to painting my Colonel Marbles referee from Salute 2010, and was hoping for some tips on painting his uniform. Unfortunately Aircav's guide doesn't include officers.

Here's a link to the thread about the game with a painted figure:

I don't use Foundry so Vallejo or GW paints would be better.

Thanks.

For all my British Khaki I start off with VMC "Flat Earth" and mix in "Cork Brown" or "Tan Earth" for mid tone and highlights.  (Not exact science for me.  Just mix until it looks "right.")

Try contacting LAFer Over Open Sights possibly via his blog; iirc his excellent ww1 painting guide (PDF) includes officers

Thanks both. I've contacted OOS for the guide.
