Title: 3 R Welsh GPMG Team
Post by: Genghis on April 17, 2017, 12:14:02 PM
I don't normally do moderns (28mm sci-fi/VSF & 15mm WW2 being more my thing), but I have just finished this 3 Royal Welsh GMPG team made as a gift for a friend who was in their heavy role GPMG Pl for a while.  I am quite pleased with the result, so thought I'd share it here.

The figures are from The Assault Group with head swaps from their Fusiliers.  (If you look carefully, the spotter has a slightly malformed face where I had to cut away the rifle/sight he was aiming down on the head donor Fusilier figure, but otherwise I think I pulled the conversions off fairly well.)  The L-85s are Hasslefree, with the loader's sling made from some of that nice heavy foil you get on good bottles of wine .

(I am aware that the date of the amalgamation that created 3 R Welsh puts these chaps as post 2000, but I hope the context means I am still within the spirit of this board and not seriously contravening the rules.)

Nice conversion and painting - your friend will be pleased.

And post 2000 is fine if it's just sharing painted miniatures, etc.

Thank-you for the compliments (and confirmation that I'm not in trouble over the post-2000 thing  ;)).
