I was just going to post up the lyyrics, but I found an awesome site that actually has the trevithick engine pictured on it. If you read the introduction at the top of the page, well thats pretty much my story too!

The song is called Cambourne Hill. Named after the hill with South Crofty mine on it. South Crofty is the most profitable mine in history. The Trevithick engine was made there, Trevithick being Cornish.

Ahh, Camborne...I was at art college there and drank many a pint of snakebite and black. You can see the pub in some of the shots. WHile I was there it had the nighest rate of unnatural crime in the uk. There were obviously a significant amount of inbred hillbilly wierdos there.

Cornwall yes, Im sure is full of this kinf of thing, but Camborne especially so. Camborne was at the time of the Trevithick engine, one of the richest towns in the world. Jump forward 100 years and you have basically the decendents of the people who could not afford to get out when the bottom dropped out of the Tin inustry, who stayed in a basically ruined, post industrial hell hole, with no money and nothing to do. Hence turning inward....
