I've just found this thread & like what you're doing here.  My main observation, for what it's worth, is that the 'arms' for the gun mounts seem superfluous.  They don't seem to add any functionality that can't be achieved with a suitably articulated pintle mount straight onto the hull sides, but add engineering complexity and greater bulk/vulnerability.
