 ;D All your fault Owen!!! : :o

I went out and purchased a tub of Kiddies Building blocks. Then I spotted some "Brain teasers" in "The Works" which were £2 for 3 wooden puzzles in a box. So I got 2 sets!

Now I have so many wooden blocks I can combine, I am having a headache combining them and deciding on the best looking and most modular way of putting them together!

Admittedly.....I am enjoying myself immensely! lol lol

Still haven't found those cotton reel things yet though.

The Range at Merry Hill. It's one of the external units up by Mothercare and Currys PC World, they have a pretty large craft section.

Thanks

I tried the one that opened near the Albion ground. While I was in there asking about possible jobs. But I couldn't see any.

I will try Merry Hill next time I am over there. :D

Awesome work.  Giving me a lot of ideas to borrow and use, have seen the dominos and jenga bloks, but never thought of using them in this style.

Been a bit quiet on this thread, but some new tat from cheap tat to show off.

This is a bit of a cheat as it's really been built for a game of Age of Sigmar this coming Friday but it was done in the same colour scheme as the Frostgrave build with an eye to being used in that as well, and is made purely from cheap stuff from The Works which is the way Malk and I like it.

Inspired by the Face on Mars that used to be in Cydonia until NASA got some better pics sorted and decided it was a trick of the light...

It's a papier-mâché mask, mounted on a piece of card. The eye sockets are empty on the original which I didn't want so handily on the very shelf below these masks I found some Xmas tree baubles that "sort of" fitted underneath. They are actually clear plastic hemi-spheres designed to take some glittery content and fit together. Each eyeball is one of the hemi-spheres. They don't fit perfectly but will do. The rest is PVA with sand sprinkled into it as "space dust", some distressing, and some heavy aggressive dry-brushing.

I had two masks (I think they were something silly like 99p each) so made two with the second one having some craft knife damage added.

Very rough and ready but they took very little time to bang together which is the way I like it.

That's a great (and well executed) idea - simple, effective and more importantly cheap! Great job :D

I Think I have seen thse in the past. Never occurred to me to try this!

I picked up a load of cheap chrimbo baubles, from Poundland last year to use as monuments, pressure vessels in sci-fi or various other bits, were a varied sphere might be needed!

Didn't think of eyeballs though!

Nice bit of tat-bashing!!
