Green with Envy at Recruits?
« on: March 29, 2009, 03:15:56 AM »
Well, my Spring Recruits convention was cut drastically short by nasty weather and apparently, the flu.  I did manage to see Baron Von J there, and he played the game I ran a couple of times.

However, none of that nonsense matters, you simply must see these greens sculpted by Richard Deasy for Dazed Miniatures.  I won't add in annoying commentary, these speak in a voice all their own.

Normally, that immense ape would be the coolest thing there to be seen...oh no.  I asked Bob Bowling of RLBPS, who carries the Dazed Miniatures line(and ships to the moon, if necessary) if he would mind if I were to take a few photos of some of his greens he had on display.  He was more than happy for me to do so, and set me up with the white back drop and a little corner of his booth to take the photos.  I think he was happy for the free advertisement, and I was very interested in the models, I imagine all of you are as well.

Anyhow, the coolest thing he said to me was, there is another box of them under there that are not on in his display case, he told me to feel free to take them out, carefully, and photograph them as well.  I swear this thing is bigger than my foot, and I opened the box and was damn near afraid it would lunge out and get me.  Isn't it beautiful?

The models will be available for purchase at Historicon, so start saving up now.

Either Baron Von J. had this look on his face when he saw those amazing greens, or one of the encounters in my game forced him to act out a bad trip, you decide it either way...

All of these were very cool. I can't wait for them to go into production. Did you happen to get a picture of the feathered raptor? That was my personal favorite of the lot...followed closely by the Kong.

They're all very lovely, I really like the Nothosaur creature. And what's this about a feathered raptor? :)
Everything is better with lizardmen.
