40mm Border Reivers
« on: 22 October 2019, 09:35:02 AM »
Hello.
Looking for more uses of the "Fistful of Lead" ruleset, I have been thinking about the Border Reivers in 40mm. Besides the Perry Miniatures small but beautiful range, anyone of you know about other figures and buildings?

Thanks in advance!

If memory serves Jim Bowen (RIP) did a Border Riever type range many a year ago.

I cannot for the life of me remember whether they were 28mm or 40mm as he did jump between scales within his ranges.

They is certainly a stylistic differences between the Bowen sculpts and the Perry range which is worth bearing in mind.

Thanks a lot. I think they are 28mm. Now they are sold by Hoka Hey Wargaming (they are travelling a lot!).

I remember that they are large for 28mm. Probably not quite 40mm though.....

Not that long ago, someone posted on this site some photos of 28mm Foundry Swashbucklers which they had converted very successfully to 40mm reivers.

He did and it is here, the results speak for themselves. Feast your eyes on this thread for inspiration.
