Sorted now, thanks.

Any ideas where I may get hold of some Stone Age weapons for 28mm scale figures?
I’m after clubs and axes?
I’m thinking the plastic savage orcs from GW which are perfect, but these have orc hands attached to them.
So I wonder if there is an alternative?

Thanks

Sounds like the Northstar Tribals might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Depends how rough you want them to be. You can nap a flint into something which would be as fine and almost as smooth as a spearhead in 28mm. So try taking a very fine file or craft knife to a normal spearhead and shaving off any central spine and making it more leaf/oval shaped.

Or if you want a "caveman" look set about it in a more drastic manner and do the same to the haft.

Ok,
I’ve tried GW savage orc weapons.
These look perfect, and suit the Stone Age theme.
However they are just too big for the figures.  :(

I’ve looked at the Northstar Tribals.
These seem like a good compromise.
However I’d only get 4 useful weapons off the whole sprue.
Assuming that there is four sprues in a box, that would be acceptable.
But I’m hardly using the box, and it’s a big out lay.
£20 for 16 plastic weapons!!

So I’m asking,
Does anyone won’t to buy a hardly used box of tribals off me??
Or does anyone have any spare sprues for sale?

Thanks
Tim

CP models do stone headed spears
https://cpmodels.co.uk/product-category/28mm-ranges/28mm-fantasy/ancient-fantasy/

Also, their skrealings come with a sprue of wooden clubs that might be available separately if you ask?

Baueda's TROGs also had a separate weapons pack

I'd buy the hardly used tribals off you, but I live across the Atlantic, so postage would probably spoil the savings.

Good advice. Thanks for the offer.

I’ve got plenty of spears, it’s big clubs or axes I’m after.
I’ll go and have a look.

Many thanks.
