I thought I'd share the Lads' next game with you. I hope you like the pics (which I think are OK) and the set up.

I struggled with this scenario at the start but, thanks to the kindness of gamers on this site and others, I think I've got there in the end.

Thanks.

A beautiful games room and table , it puts my basement room to shame ( boxes everywhere).  A comprehensive AAR with lovely figures and terrain. I always enjoy a visit to your blog especially the Bohemian Blitzkrieg campaign, I,m toying with the same one . I recently played a week long solo campaign using the Age of Reason map .

Eager to see more of you on this exciting period! Cheers!

Thanks guys.

Because my wife's away this weekend I've decided to play the game solo. The first two AAR posts are now on my blog and I'll post more as the game progresses. There are plenty of pictures of some reasonably painted troops, en masse and close up.

Turn 3. Solo game AAR posted here:

https://olicanalad.blogspot.co.uk/2018/04/the-battle-of-liegnitz-1760-fought-solo_30.html

This is a Piquet game so there is no set 'move sequence' a turn involves units getting multiple moves, at various points in a turn, and multiple points of shooting and melee - so a turn can be a big chunk of a game. Piquet is probably the best set of rules for solo play ever invented - even though they were written for 'normal' play - due to the nature of initiative and sequence card mechanics it employs. If you play solo, and you are unfamiliar with Piquet, check it out for a flavour of what you might get out of the rules.
