Against the Admiral eh? That's clear...congratulations ;).
Terrific entry and your photography is way better than mine. Love the colors and setting. I like this entry also a lot more than your last.

Sorry Malebolgia, but you are indeed up against very stiff competition. Your police looks great, very soft highlighting as usual and nice background too, but the Admiral's entry has a bit more going on and the quality of the painting is great there as well. Congrats too both!

Well, again two very nice entries. It's coming along nicely with the Arkham project Malebolgia! Good job. But I most say, the Admiral beat you to it. Nice and colourfull entry there.

@Malebolgia: Why are the bluecoats so shiny?

Had too go for the admiral as well, the vibrant colours of that entry just trumps the bluecoats
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

My Dullcoat isn't doing what it should do lately. Although they're not really shiny, they are a real b*tch to catch them well on photo (even in a light tent with the lamps removed several inches further away).
The investigators also had that problem, although to a lesser extent. The Cultists were the best and the photo also worked the best. So another good thing about the LPL is that I'm learning how my light tent works :D

I'm still using Aleene's, which makes me very happy. Didn't you los use it for a while? I'm also happily learning how to use my light tent in combination with my camera. And especially how to fit everyting in the tent and the picture.

If Dullcote works like how it should work it is the absolute best product out there. It's as protective as a leaky condom though, so I always use a coat of gloss varnish first (car varnish). But the weather conditions have a *big* influence on how the dullcote dries. If it is sunny and warm you'll get excellent results. If it's slightly cooler or it rains, you can get horrible results with whitening...white speckles...*shudder*.

It's Otto of the Red Hand for me - rich vibrant colours, beautiful shading and highlighting, and a fantastic backdrop. Excellent stuff!

Both are great entries. The shading and colours used are very well blended. Best of luck to you both.

I love both entries, Its hard to make dully uniformed "coppers" look as good as Knights but you can see the work done on them is exellent. Malebogia you might want to bring your big overhead "softlight" more frontal. I looks to be to far back overhead, its a "fill light" and would have helped to brighten up and fill in those dark areas better. I use lights like that when making car commercials(but they are 20'x 30' and suspended from a crane!). You have two nice side lights giving nice kicks and definition but you just need a bit more fill IMHO ::)  Check out my aricle on Dullcoat and finishes in the workbench area
