Who Made These and What are they?
« on: 29 May 2018, 07:57:20 AM »
I got these from Hal MWAN about a thousand years ago. There are 8 pieces total, 2 bunkers, 2 straight sections and 4 end sections. They interlock to form a larger piece.
They are made out of some sort of casting stone and are very heavy. The painting is quite good and I'm not sure if they are factory painted or collector painted. They appear to be for 28 mm use.

So, what the hell are these and who made them?

They look like they could be home made perhaps

Maybe some sort of earthen defense system? The straight and end sections remind me a bit of dykes/ levees.

If they're not home made, then maybe manufactured by someone like Scotia Grendel, Village Green (I think that's what the company was called anyways)  or someone else that was allready selling terrain way back when a lot of the resin scenery/ terrain was a bit more brittle (and often a lot more funny smelling) than today.

Thanks. Yes others have identified the pieces as a Dutch defensive dike made by Village Green.

The large piece looks like a redoubt for a horse and musket period gun battery.  Given that, the other pieces may be some sort of representation of siege works so perhaps an earthen bank upon which stood a pallisade or line of gabions/barricades that once matched the style of the reboubt.

They are the above originally done by Village green.
